PM'ed from nyh1:

Denny I was stationed with Denny In th UK Joined this Chat line to attempt to make contact with him through you. Please advise if you are in contact with him and i am truly sorry to read about kristen. Thank You Rich K.

OK. Since I have absolutely no idea what he's talking about, I was thinking of a response along the lines of either:

a) Dear nyh1: He rolled hard on Kristen, broke her in half like a popsicle stick under a jackhammer. Guess she wasn't built for sex... none of them UK bitches are, it seems -- that's the fifth one he's gone through, the fucking animal.

b) Yes, I'll tell him you said "hi", and I'll also tell him you're fucking his wife and forcing his three kids to make shoes for you. OBTW, he's coming back to the states on leave in a month. I'll be sure he's got your current address.

c) So YOU'RE the nyh1 that's been sending him all of those homoerotic e-mails! Dude, he was dishonorably discharged because a ranking officer found out about them, and put a bullet in his brain. But, it didn't kill him. Instead, it left him a drooling invalid who shits everywhere and screams "rape my palm" every five minutes.

or

d) I have no idea what you're talking about.

It sounds to me like he thinks you either are the real Denny McLain, or you know him somehow.

You send him a message acting completely professional and saying that you are indeed in contact with Denny and would be happy to put him in contact with him. You then set up a fake dennymclain@yahoo.com email address for him to talk to Denny through. Hilarity and fun ensues.

yo you people really have to find something better to do with your time. But please dont hire any hooker's, i would hate to see any one of you accidently reproduce in any way. Your Right i was attempting to contact the real denny mclain even though from what i read he is not the stand up characters you all play to be. Just them same, I was stationed with his son many years ago and he was a good friend then. Thanks

I voted to be nice.

How about you find something better to do than judge a bunch of people you don't know. Feel free not to return.

Four decades after his greatest season as a Tiger, 31-game winner Denny McLain says he is loving springtime again.

After the life he's lived -- from World Series hero and radio host to grieving father, federal prisoner and 7-Eleven clerk -- that's saying a lot.
Now settled at his Pinckney home after a prison stint for bilking the pension fund at a meat packing plant in mid-Michigan, McLain works for a telecommunications company in Southfield, jokes about his weight and watches "American Idol" every night he can with his wife, Sharyn.
He knows he is still despised in Chesaning, home to Peet Packing, which closed down under his co-ownership. But he says he's entitled to move on after spending six years in federal custody.

In a recent interview, the 62-year-old says he has also overcome the death of his oldest daughter, Kristin, in a traffic accident in 1992 and the ridicule over his work-release stint at a Sterling Heights convenience store.
McLain talked recently for more than two hours about his hopes for the future, his own destructiveness, the horror of prison and even his relationship -- or lack thereof -- with a reputed New York crime figure.

It's really simpe, nyh1. You go to your computer, type in www.google.com , and search "denny mclain". Bingo presto.

And why in the WORLD would Denny McLain use his real name on a detroit sports forum?

He'd use something like "Harold Barbaro".

Oops.
