First cutdown is Tuesday, but some teams are getting a head start.
Chiefs just cut Jeff Smoker.
C'mon, "notable" is a subjective word.

View Full Version : Notable NFL roster cuts Glenn 08-28-2006, 05:59 PM First cutdown is Tuesday, but some teams are getting a head start. Chiefs just cut Jeff Smoker. Glenn 08-29-2006, 01:28 PM ESPN Radio just reported that the Texans are considering cutting Dominick Davis. WTF? They don't have Jonathan Wells anymore (about to sign with the Colts) and they passed on Reggie Bush in the draft. Is Millen secretly running two teams at once? Glenn 08-29-2006, 03:01 PM Rosters have to be down to 75 by 1 pm today, and down to 53 by Saturday, so more to come. Correction, teams need to be down to 75 men by 4 pm today, not 1 pm. I must have got that 1 pm reference from some silly west coast media source. JS 08-29-2006, 04:44 PM ESPN Radio just reported that the Texans are considering cutting Dominick Davis. WTF? They don't have Jonathan Wells anymore (about to sign with the Colts) and they passed on Reggie Bush in the draft. Is Millen secretly running two teams at once? I had to turn the radio up when I heard that because I thought I heard it wrong. How many teams are hoping Davis gets cut just so they can steal him? That would go down as one of worst offseason of all time if Davis gets cut, Bush thrives and Williams is good but not a freak. I can't believe they would cut him for being banged up and not being able to see time in the preseason, as opposed to it being a philosophy issue. Kubiak is still thinking he is in Denver where they can just sprinkle running back dust on a guy and get 1000 yards Glenn 08-29-2006, 04:48 PM Texans cut former Lion Barrett Green Bengals released Hanibal Navies Dolphins cut Brock Berlin H1Man 08-29-2006, 04:56 PM I think when Gary Kubiak said that Dominick Davis might not make the final cut, I think he may have meant that he would end up on the PUP list and then the IR. Glenn 08-30-2006, 03:20 PM Eagles cut Todd Pinkston & Koy Detmer, (re)sign AJ Feeley who was cut by the Chargers Eagles also name Jeff Garcia as their #2 QB http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2566150 Also... Detroit Lions Placed DE Bill Swancutt on injured reserve and WR Scottie Vines on the physically-unable-to-perform list. Signed LB Clifford Dukes. Released OT Tom Kaleita. Moodini31 08-30-2006, 07:29 PM Anybody hear the clip on WDFN from the interview with Len Pasquarelli? The dudes were calling him Todd Stinkston and Len got pissed off, asked them if they've over went over the middle vs. an NFL secondary, said this is going to be a short interview, and basically said see ya. hahahaha! Hilarious! Glenn 08-31-2006, 12:05 PM TB cut Jay Fiedler I would think that he'd be a better option than Jeff George, but not that much better. |
