Well this is probably the only time of the year that we can have one of these threads - the pre-season. It's unlike Lions fans to overrate our coaching and players before the season starts....

I wonder if Kevin Jones prays at night that Martz somehow finally realizes how important the running game is. He completely abandoned it during his last couple years as Rams' coach.

The difference is that Martz didn't have to answer to anyone about calling all pass plays in St. Louis, but now he has to answer to Marinelli if he doesn't run the ball.

But anyway, even though it was pre-season, I think I actually saw a REAL NFL offense on the field for the Lions.

Do you still agree with that statement bp? Is there a Jon Kitna bashing thread? How about Rod Marinelli? Not playing Mike Williams is inexcusable.

I can totally see him in Arizona with Leinart, Edge and those stud receivers.

I'm not sure he'd go to arizona. That franchise is a mess (about as much as ours). They also have no OL which would be devistating in his scheme (one in which the QB has to hold the ball a while to wait for open WR's). If I'm martz, I wait for a better opening. maybe if Marty retires in SD next year (Martz is from SD). I wouldn't be surprised if he went to Arizona, I just think that would be a bad move (unless they find a TON of OL help for him).
