I am sick of the bickering and all the bullshit. I am sick of decisions being questioned and I am sick of Mods and posters acting like the decisions around here are made because we have nothing better to do in our lives, and want to dish out punishment. I am sick of the fact that half the time sterotypes are racist and half the time they are funny. I am sick of the context arguments, am sick of dealing with this issue once a week because somebody wants to push buttons. I wish that the issues would take care of themselves but they don't because it is matter of baiting. I do not see how using ignorant sterotypes to attack a poster can be justified, and how anyone can defend it by saying we are the bad guys or somebody needs thicker skin. There is a simple reason racisim exists, it is because we allow it, by looking the other way. It not a matter of being PC it is a matter of stopping the spread of ignorance. A few mods and posters here complain about racisim in the real world, yet feel that when action is taken to stop it at its primal levels, say that people are out of line for censoring ignorance and stopping it's spread on a private enitity.

I hate hypocrisy, and double standards. I know that at least one mod a month threatens to leave or does quit because they feel left out ignored or are victims of abuse or the site isn't what they want. That number is doubled when we expand to examine the general poster base. A majority of the complaints come because of battles with other posters, and one poster takes his opinion too far in the area of race or politics. However when the syndicate takes action against the poster for going out of bounds, we are the bad guys, and the complainer comes forward and says something along the lines of the "punishment is wrong, I don't agree with it". I am sick of everyone being whinny bitches calling for action, then when action occurs, accusing us of overmodding.

I am going to say this now, if you view us as such assholes who abuse powers leave, don't write a dramatc goodbye or PM just leave, and don't come back if things are that bad. If you want to send a message Follow your dream go build the perfect forum, where all your thoughts are protected and you can say and do what you want. Spare the rest of us the time from having to start a new thread about who sent us a PM about wanting to leave and how we should try to keep them or deal with their problem. I am done if you threaten to quit or don't want to be part of the site, its your decision.

If you think another site is better, see ya, have fun and when they piss you off find another that is the joy of freedom, you can do what you want until somebody sets a limit, you don't like.

I am not saying that you can't post a funny video clip to share or recap a show or comedy special but when people here try to project their thoughts and feeling into a comedy routine outside of the thread it generally is lost in translation and issues occur. If you feel that sterotypes are true and want to keep using them that is your choice but it won't be here. The bottomline is not everyone shares our individual sense of irony, humor or dedication to things in life and because of that difference communication breaks down and conflict occurs, which leads to bigger and biggers issues. I am not an optimist I don't believe that everyone needs to see eye to eye, but at the same I refuse to tolerate debates and discussions that to turn into rants of ignorance. While I will never be able to walk in another man or women's shoes and know how they feel or how they are treated, I can do my best to make sure I don't tolerate ignorance and further contribute to the problem by being silent or minding my business.

JS = the Kurt Vonnegut of WTFDetroit.

One of the problems I see here is that, once the poster makes an offensive remark, that poster is not allowed to recant. Steve's watermelon crack was out of line, but if he was offered the choice by the Syndicate (via PM) to publicly apologize to Gutz, or face a suspension, then perhaps a dialogue between Gutz and Steve might have commenced, and perhaps some good could have come from it.

Sometimes we (people) go too far. The question is, if allowed humility, would we realize our errors and present ourselves as better people? A straight suspension without discourse between the offender and the offended solves nothing, and only questions the reasoning of War Room conduct.

In the end, the Syndicate has final say, this I understand, but an opportunity for Taymelo to have apologized or face a suspension could have made things cleaner.
