He also has a crapload of walkoffs this season. I think him being a DH hurts his chances, but his numbers are too damn impressive to ignore. But if you're ok with hanging out with kimchi eaters, you've probably burned up your sense of smell anyhow. And Ortiz deserves it for the 2nd year in a row. Screw the DH thing. Dye is making a bit of a run and if he gets the Sox into the playoffs, he might be able to snag this from Ortiz. In a contract year, too. I'm banking on Derek Jeter since his team is in 1st place in the AL East, and everyone loves the AL East. And if Chicago and/or Minnesota makes the playoffs, you'd also have to consider Dye and Morneau. If Morneau didn't have that shitty start he'd have the best statistics for any hitter in the league.
