View Full Version : DELK THE YING AND THE YANG!
whyt-RHINO 07-27-2006, 11:21 PM Tony Delk proved himself big time last season! I dont understand why in the WORLD we havent signed him back! Watch any game that he came into last year he was instant OFFENSE he played the same last couple of years for ATL. This dude is a proven scorer he has had a 50 point game, try to convince me that DUPREE's sorry good for nothing lazy bench warmen azz will even ever score 20 points in a game and i'll SLAP YOUR FACE[smilie=blaha.gif]
Tony Delk is the player to complete the bench for the Pistons this year I feel we wont be complete unless we sign DELK!
the wrath of diddy 07-27-2006, 11:22 PM Signing him wouldn't do anything for us.

Darth Thanatos 07-28-2006, 12:38 AM So yeah, I've been thinking about taking an etiquette class. THINK I SHOULD DO IT?
The Irony 07-28-2006, 03:49 AM no
Uncle Mxy 07-28-2006, 08:05 AM I'd rather have given Tony Delk the two-year BAE than Flip Murray, especially since we got rid of Evans the snitch.
defrocked 07-28-2006, 09:43 AM I actually really like Delk and was hoping to see him back. He isn't starter-calibur by any means, but he's a solid, dependable guy off the bench. I feel more confident in him coming off the bench than Lindsey, but I may be in the minority there.
Glenn 07-28-2006, 09:46 AM Any chance he doesn't get a better offer than the vet's minimum and we give him our last roster spot?
Prolly not.
Maybe we'll deal Delfino for a pick and re-sign Delk?
Great thread WHYT-RHINO.
Black Dynamite 07-28-2006, 10:47 AM yes trade delfino and try to officially have the smallest set of guards in the league coming in for Rip and Tay....brilliant!!!![smilie=bullshit.gi:

Glenn 07-28-2006, 10:53 AM ^that would leave a roster spot for Caner-Medley or another backup SF.
If Delfino gets traded, we'd be stupid to not look at Delk at the minimum IMO.

so you're more sold on the summer league guy...hmmm to each his own there. I'd just rather keep Delf and that be that.. flip and delk couldnt be on the floor at the same time. the assists to turnover ratio would be putrid. if you're sold on the summer league guy, i say delf at SG/ball handler and flip at pg/shooter with dupree and the SL guy fighting it out.
With hunter as a situational threat.
Glenn 07-28-2006, 11:23 AM I don't think you are reading me correctly. I'm not saying that is my suggestion (to trade Delfino just to add an unknown backup). I'm saying if Joe decides to trade Delfino, what is the course of action?
Two different things.
Black Dynamite 07-28-2006, 11:35 AM Not many options. The SL guy doesnt seem viable, nor does Dupree(though that could change depending on his preseason performance.
Gotta check the FA list. But if joe trades Delf, he's an idiot based on our limited options.
And to all the trade junkies, you can't get anything all that valuable in return for him.
Hank in Chains 07-28-2006, 08:47 PM If we could get him at an inexpensive price, I wouldn't mind getting Delk back. I thought he was decent off the bench last year.
Anthony 07-29-2006, 12:09 PM what the hell is a ying and a yang?
