G-g-g-g-ame thread.

Tigers up 6-1 already today. DY's back and had a huge 2-out 2-run single.

I know Maroth pitched a simulated game on Friday.

Thats a good sign. The faster they get him back, maybe the better. Minor has looked rough in his last two starts.

I was just reading today that Maroth will probably make a few rehab starts, and they might hold off until Sept 1 to bring him up since the roster size expands at that point, meaning they wouldn't have to send anyone down.

Robertson attacking the zone so far, I'm loving it.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Frank Thomas is going crazy on the post-game interview. He took a cheap shot at Pudge. The Big Hurt is pissed.

Damn, can you give a bit of a recap? Or a link?

Fuck Frank. I always hated him.

BTW, this series was so....blah, after that one with the Chi Sox.

While this series did seem blah in comparison, the fact is we just took 2 of 3 from a first place team. That's always a good thing. So we were 7-3 with 0 sweeps in our 10 game homestand, now let's see how we do in a 10 game road trip against the Indians, Twins and Devil Rays. (man I wish we could bring Crawford home with us)

Ha, I found the quote:

The big thumb
Frank Thomas made a brief appearance Sunday, long enough to strike out twice against Robertson and subsequently get ejected by home plate umpire Adam Dowdy for arguing a called third strike in the third.
"The first time up, there was a pitch that wasn't even close, and Pudge (Rodriguez ) kept yapping that they needed that pitch," Thomas said after the game. "Then he (Dowdy) calls me out on a back-door breaking ball, and the next time it's a pitch that was five or six inches inside.
"I know the strike zone, and it isn't that big. I'm up there to do a job, not waste my time."
Thomas continued: "It's a hard job (umpiring), I understand that, but I feel like he got worked by Pudge."

Those K's on Big Frank, I thought were great pitches located well.
