LMAO

Colangelo's off to a great start....

Bucks just jumped up at least 5 wins in the east, maybe more. What a theft.

Toronto just traded a young stud for a DOWNGRADE of Mike James. Stupidity at its finest.

I think thats a good trade for both teams. TJ is good. But I'll give the win to Toronto because that leaves the Bucks with out a PG.

Maybe he saw something in Charlie V we didn't. In any case, TJ Ford is better for what Toronto is going to be than Mike James was. He is trying to make that team into a run n gun Phoenix team. I don't know if Bosh fits into that so well though.

Gotta say good deal for the Bucks though overall. They get a guy who had freaking spinal surgery and now they get a great pick from last season for him.

Bad move for the Raptors. Mo Williams should fit in fine as Ford's replacement.

I like this deal for both teams - it fills holes that both teams had with young, good players. I dont think Williams will start for Bucks though, I would give that job to Charlie Bell.
It really has set up both the teams with a young core now.

Decent deal all-round IMO

Until the games are played and we see how guy fits into his new role I'm gonna reserve judgement.

I really feel sorry for Cash Considerations, though.

Dude's been trade a lot in the last few days.

so much for the ben for CV trade. i like this trade for milwaukee, just because this summer anyone who wants a passable pg for the MLE will be able to get one.

makes sense for toronto too, avoiding the potential logjam. right now, tor is starting:

ford
peterson (?)
bagnani
bosh
rasho nesterovic

hard to judge without knowing bagnani. they'll have the money, but i cant see ben wanting to join that team.

but i do like what collangelo has done so far. i like that he came in and made alot of moves, but unlike zeke, he seems to be putting alot of thought into them.

[smilie=rofl.gif] that was one of the most unexpectedly funny things i've read in a while. not that you can't be funny P, just that i didn't see that one coming.

yeah, cash considerations has been bounced around the league a lot. so is he a highly valued commodity that everyone wants to trade for, or is his value decreasing so much, everyone wants to dump him?

OK, sorry for ruining what was a quick simple joke. i'm pretty good at taking the air out of people's sails. [smilie=sad3.gif]

anyway i too will reserve FINAL judgment, although my initial impression though is that toronto may have been able to find a more well rounded PG in another move without yet moving CV. they now have basically no tradeable assets left and still holes to fill. i guess they could move james in a sign and trade though...

ford will definitely help with toronto's planned up tempo game and i love how he can push the ball upcourt. but he REALLY needs to find a jumpshot or they will suck when forced into a halfcourt game. in some ways they would have been better with mo williams and maybe another young prospect. but i like ford and he can help them.

villanueva gives bogut a legit helping hand up front.

should be interesting to see how these guys fit in. it's pretty clear neither team is a finished product so they'll both have to get some other pieces to help complement their new acquisitions.

i don't know though- i'll have to let this trade sink in more and my opinion might change. right now i'm a bit shocked by it- i did not see this one coming.

He certainly has a plan and I doubt he's finished.

He still has free agency to go.

Milwaukee looks to have a very deep and very strong PF/C rotation, with Bogut, Charlie, Joe Smith, Magloire and Gadzuric.

Even if they trade Magloire they're still deep! Not a bad job by GM Harris. They just need a better coach.

Bucks made a great trade. Early front-runners for best offseason.

What makes you say that, Kstat?

What makes you say that, Kstat?

Because they just traded an expendable part for a kid that could team with Bogut to be one hell of a 1-2 punch.

Don't you think that Bogut/Charlie is a little weak?

Don't you think they need a bruiser, or is Gadzuric off the bench enough?

(assuming of course that Joe Smith and Magloire are gone or will be gone soon)

Right now? sure. both guys have a ways to go.

Once they mature, they'll be a heck of a frontcourt.

I agree and have high hopes for them.

After all, Bogut is an Aussie.

I try not to hold that against him.

After Luc Longly and Shane Heal I have a very bad impression.

Hey, Andrew Gaze has an NBA championship (Spurs) and a college championship as well (Seton Hall)

He played less minutes in a full NBA season than he would have in one NBL game and got a ring for his trouble!

Lucky prick.

Andrew Gaze=grey hair at age 18. Enough said.

And no, he did not win an NCAA championship at Seton Hall. They lost to UM in the finals.

Pharaoh

Oh, well - at least he made it.

And I'm sure he'd prefer the NBA ring over the college title anyway.

Toronto's defense has not gotten better with this trade.

So TJ is Canada's version of Steve Nash (wait, Nash is Canadian ... TJ is American ... hmm). That's asking a lot from him. The Bucks certainly got a lot for a guy they were souring on as the season went along.
