dude looks like a kid again, lol.
Higherwarrior 06-29-2006, 11:55 PM did he really cut his hair back to the old uconn style? i can't really tell since those first 2 pics aren't close up enough.
anyway, i'm all for it. many of us have said there needed to be a change in the core of this team- i believe this is just the change we need and perhaps now our offseason is complete.
:)

Pharaoh 06-30-2006, 11:17 AM I hope this is a sign that he's going to "re-dedicate himself to the game of basketball" this off-season.
It's an "all business, all the time" haircut.
I wonder if he's working on his ball handling skills this off-season? If he can actually be a threat one on one then that will really help the team.
MoTown 06-30-2006, 11:20 AM While we're on going back to old appearances, why doesn't Sheed go back to wearing #30, you know the time when he worked his ass off in a Pistons uniform? The Pistons haven't won since the change to the "36 Chambers."
Pharaoh 06-30-2006, 11:26 AM He should wear #99.
When they announce him he should come out to "99 Problems" by Jay Z.
Then at every home game he could take the mic and turn to the opponents and (slightly changing the lyrics) say "If you're having girl problems I feel bad for you, son. Tonight you got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one"
And when he says the "Tonight" part he could point to his jersey number!
It would have worked so much better if he still had the belt over his shoulder.
Pharaoh 06-30-2006, 11:29 AM Oh, and it would have work so much better if he was willing to post up even 50% of the time.
Flip needs to tell Sheed that Dean Smith called and demanded he post up.
b-diddy 06-30-2006, 12:10 PM i want to talk to samson!
Anthony 06-30-2006, 03:13 PM He should wear #99.

Or he can just score the ball.
Pharaoh 06-30-2006, 10:56 PM Yeah, but it would be funnier to see Sheed "cutting a promo" before every home game.
People say I'm too serious?
The minute I throw out some stupid idea that I find funny people wanna get all serious.
Comrade 06-30-2006, 11:12 PM Yeah, but it would be funnier to see Sheed "cutting a promo" before every home game.

You'll never make everyone happy. Just do what you do. I, for one, found it funny.

I was being sarcastic back.
I got a laugh out of it.

It's about fuckin time Rip.
I read an article in this month's Dime Magazine about how he adds something
to his game every offseason. I'm sure everyone knows how hard Rip works
and IMO despite his injury, he worked his ass off all season and in to the
post season. Well, last year he added a 3 point shot and really perfected it.
After leading the league in 3 point efficiency, I'm sure he is in the mindset
that he can do whatever he sets his mind to. I was very excited to find out
that he plans on adding a more effective crossover dribble and an eagerness
to drive the lane more often a la Iverson and Arenas.
Rip's quick as hell, we all know that he's very skinny and lanky, but that's never
stopped him from working his ass off and not backing down from challenges.
If Rip can add this crossover and really try to get inside, we have ourselves
a fucking sick ass slasher that will help us get the job done - and get to the
line A LOT! Good move by Rip and it wouldn't suprise me if Joe Dumars told
him told him it'd be a great idea to be our go to guy with more than just a jumper.
i read that same article, M1.
Rip definitely has the quickness to be a slasher like Iverson...he just needs the ball handling skills. hell, if his three point % was a product of him deciding he needed to work on it......who knows what Rip can bring to the table next season. if Delfino can be a slasher and Rip can add that dimension to his game, we suddenly have some new weapons on the team without having to go out and adding players.
whyt-RHINO 07-05-2006, 01:54 PM I under the impression that RIP was BALDIG on top of his head? I looked at some pic's and he looked like he was going bald up front. Thats why I thought he was keeping them damn rows in. Maybe he visited the BOSLEY HAIR CLUB this summer?
edit: you left some italic BBB code dangling, so I cleaned it up for you, I'm that kind of guy -Glenn
Jethro34 07-05-2006, 08:31 PM Maybe they're trying to get rid of all fros and rows now that Ben is gone.
