Just announced. Telfair for the #7 pick. What is Boston thinking? They better be getting something else as well.

Interesting.

They didn't want Marcus Banks but they want Bassy?

I think Boston is throwing in Dickau as well.

On a side note: Does this mean Delonte West is available? He's be a great backup.

Are they retarded???

Telfair was a reach at 13 to begin with, then he proves jack shit, and still has the problem of being a midget, and they are able to trade him for #7?

Ainge = Dee Dee Dee

Ainge must have caught Telfair's documentary on ESPN

The worst part about this for Boston is that if Atlanta goes through with their Shelden Williams promise, Portland is guaranteed one of the "Big 6" (Gay, Aldridge, Bargnani, Roy, Thomas, and Morrison). That would be a huge steal for Portland IMO. Foye or Carney wouldn't be too shabby either.

Portland to make a run at KG or JO? Could it be true? Hard for Minny to pass on having picks 4,6,7 Miles and Randolph for KG...

Can Bassy be moved to Philly as part of an AI deal?

I actually like this trade for Boston. Telfair is only 20 but he's shown that he can be a pretty damn good pass-first PG in the future. They also get Theo Ratliff for weak side D. Dan Dickau is crappy and who knows how good the #7 pick will be? This draft is pretty meh anyway.

they should have at least waited until they were on the clock to see who was there.

man, how i'd LOVE to be portland right now. 2 picks in the top 7 and 3 in the top 30! they're going to get some nice players.

Yes you have a 24-48 hr window where you flip the guy with no restrictions, like they can't be part of a multiplayer deal.

maybe they're planning on using him in an AI trade? or not.

They just got Rodriguez as well.

Isnt Danny Ainge like...the greatest drafter ever?
If he thought the PG's in this draft werent good enough, then I would trust him...

im with archdiocese, i didnt have a problem with the trade... not sure on theo and lefrentze's contracts. i would have taken gay over telfaire, but im a telfaire fan. he's one of those great talents that you just know will never pan out. but he's still a great talent.

I think this was a good deal for Boston.

They get a shorter shitty contract with Ratliff, plus he's a shot blocker.

They are stocked with young talent at every single position and could be ready to make a huge trade.

If that trade doesn't happen they still have all those young guys with a ton of potential, plus they can always deal Paul Pierce.

I think Ainge has done a good job rebuilding that team.
