With the draft in about 2 days, who are the sleepers? Any draft day trades? Who's going to be a bust? Where will Aldridge go? Whos going to be our valuable 60th pick?

Heres one idea that makes sense

hawks send the rights to Roy for the Rockets Luther Head and the rights to Shelden Williams.

%99 of this draft sucks, and the Pistons don't even have a 1st round pick.

It's more fun to watch the old drafts on NBA TV and make fun of them.

roy is a nice player. for sure. but atlanta would do REALLY well to end up with luther head and williams.

williams is no athletic freak but IMO he's an antonio davis or horace grant type of player. he will be a very solid big man and do the dirty work down low for whichever team gets him.

and head is going to be a good PG in the league for years to come. that's a huge position of need for the hawks so i think it would be a solid trade. williams is apparently the guy they want ANYWAY, so to get luther head to move down and also get williams.......smart move IMO.

anyway, i'm a draft junkie so i'm pumped for this draft even though we only have the last pick. i love watching the wheeling and dealing and all the drama of draft day unfold.

Thats HW!

The Rockets have officially called to move up. Lets see if there are any takers on draft day. Although it is a weak draft, its still fun to watch nonetheless

It ain't a weak Draft, man

It's just really even at the top and has a lot of quality players.

No true standout though, which clouds the media.

Look at the Top 10 - all quality players, or should be.

Redick is projected at #14! At the very worst he'll be an awesome spot up shooter for someone and you know dude can play.

Even a guy like James White (projected late first/early second) could make an impact in the league due to his athleticism.

It's not weak - just even.

Pharoah, we should set up the same game we did last year, that was fun as hell.

Well, I was thinking of it but don't really have the time.

I'll see if anyone wants to run it and tally the scores.

Last year everyone basically did their own scoring and we just trusted each other. We could do that again.

Good job reminding me, Steve. If you wanna start the thread do it!

i think any college bball fan should be geeked for this draft-regardless of our own pick.

first time in a long time i'll know who just about everyone is. how do you beat that?

let's see you say that when guys like yotam halperin, thabo sefolosha, and olexsiy pecherov start clogging up the draft boards! [smilie=rofl.gif]

i get your point though- no kids in diapers in this one. but i would have thought most people would know more about the top american highschool players than some of these international dudes. and there will still be plenty of them drafted.

How many of those lottery picks will be future all-stars? (no sarcasm)

I think at best JJ redick will be a spot up shooter. HE cant do anything but that. He's got a range of a sniper. Is he even a point guard? Isnt he too small to be a 2? Is he a good defender?

as far as i know, only one euro dude is supposed to go lotto, which means i'll recognize 13/14. good enough for me. just enough for barkley to be funny without getting repetitive.

just glanced at nbadraft.net, and they had aldridge falling to #7, behind sheldon fucking williams. if i were a hawks fan and this happened, i'd torch the building. boston has to be pretty happy that in a draft that goes 6 deep, and where they have the 7th pick, that one of the teams in front of them is the hawks. jesus christ. why not just let fans take turns being the gm for the day. could it honestly get anyworse. normally, i'd blast the website for being so stupid, but this just seems too likely...

Reggie Miller made a career as a pure shooter. Even Steve Kerr had a nice career. JJ could be as good as Peja IMO, and as bad as Langdon. I think he has too much ability to be Langdon though. On the right team he could be very good. On the wrong one (one without a good creator on offense) and he could be forced to take people off the dribble and be out of his element.

That's a good point. Maybe with the right team, he could fit and shoot the 3 ball off the bench or something. With the new ball change, Redick may not be as good as he may think.

Draft in one day and Rajon Rondo's stock has rose like a bitch. Holy shit.
Could go to 7 or down to 22.

It's that kind of Draft, Cross

Redick could go at 12, or end up at 22.

Projections are all over the board. The final mocks for Draft Express and NBADraft.net should be interesting.
