I was listening to KC Royals radio on the way home and I heard 4 words that made me think, "goddamn".

Jeremy Affeldt t-shirt night.

Here are some candidates off the top of my head to get the discussion started:

KC Royals
Cleveland Browns
NO Hornets
NO Saints
GS Warriors
Detroit Lions
Houston Texans
TB Devil Rays
Atlanta Hawks
St. Louis Blues

The Lions...no doubt about it. Next question.

Where are the Blackhawks?

As for the original question, it has to be the Royals.

Atleast all the other teams have a bright spot or two (Chris Paul, Reggie Bush, Scott Kazmir, Braylon Edwards, and others). The Royals, on the other hand, are just a bad team from top to bottom and their farm system is in shambles. Most of their prospects are playing in Single A and Double A divisions and they still don't have any good pitching prospects.

I think I'd say the Royals as well.

About the only thing they have going for them is that they have a little bit of success in their history (80's) and they have a nice ballpark.

Ownership sucks, players suck, fans are severely apathetic (rightfully so) and there is no sign of that changing anytime soon.

im inclined to say the royals too. i can also add the knicks just because this year had to be true hell, and the philadelphia eagles. the eagles are generally good but like the buffalo bills of the 90's, high expectations and heartbreak every year followed by abolute demolition last year.

I think with the Knicks you at least have a team that plays in one of the most historic buildings in sports. Also, at least they have ownership that spends money (not wisely, but at least they spend, which is worse than the alternative, IMO).

One side effect of being a Knicks fan appears to be that it makes you utterly dilusional, which gives some additional creedence to your suggestion here.

I'm going to consider everything here. I'm looking at the fact that I would want to see my team play fairly often in their home stadium. Obviously that would suck for New Orleans fans, but I'll give them a pass. Plus, Chris Paul is good and Reggie Bush will be entertaining.

Oh man, I could really make this a long post.

I guess I won't. My two finalists are the Royals and the Browns. By virtue of the fact that I once had a Royals hat because the colors were decent (ditched it shortly thereafter for a Dodgers hat before deciding I would just rock my Tigers hat all the time in spite of their suckiness), I have to go with the Browns. They're horrible. They got their team ripped out from under them because things sucked so bad. They wax peotically about freaking Bernie Kosar. The best fans chew dog bones. They play in open air so the fans freeze their balls off. And all the while they have to rock apparel that's orange and dark brown. Not feeling that at all. I may end up with a jersey some day (road, of course) thanks to Braylon, but hopefully he leaves as a free agent someday.

The Minnesota Vikings

- Never won an NFL championship.
- They wear purple.
- They have the worst facility in sports.
- They made one of the worst trades in sports history; literally building the Cowboys dynasty.
- The term "Hail Mary" was coined after one of their FOUR Super Bowl losses.
- Their history of craptacular performances in the AFC championship game.
- They are the Packers bitch.
- They wear Purple.

I'd also like to throw in the Cubs, Clippers, and Hawks.

My uncle said that when he was traded to the Vikings, it was obvious that they were a second-class organization. He said that for dinner, personnel would give the players five bucks and send them off to find some food.

Under Wilf, there's plenty of change, but if that attitude remains the same, then yes, they suck.

It has gotta be the Royals though. The fact that they managed to get worse than they were last year solidifies that for me.

Good call on the Hawks. Being a Hawks fan must be unbearable. They have a 15-guard roster and have been one draft away for the past decade.

Arizonia Cardinals... no question bigger losers than the Lions, been around longer than the rest of canidates and have done little to be winners until the last few years.

But at least they have Boldin, Fitzgerald, Warner, Leinart and now Edge.

It's probably the best time to be a Cardinals fan since the days of Neil Lomax.

But all of their star players have had injury issues, so who knows......they could be a disappointment. These are the Cardinals afterall.

Are we talking PRO sports, here?

If that's the case:

1. Every WNBA team, or

2. Every MLS team, or

3. Anything from Portland

The D-Rays and the Hornets have elevated themselves off this list, I would think.

Maybe even the Saints.

The Vikings win playoff games, though. They might not have any championships, but at least they're usually competitive.

The Vikings have won one NFL championship (Pre-1970 AFL-NFL Merger) losing 23-7 to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl IV and were the first team to both play in and lose four Super Bowls. The Vikings have won their division 16 times, third most among teams currently playing in the NFL.

Right now it's the Raiders or Lions. Al Davis might be a worse owner than Ford...hard to believe.
