An armed robbery at a credit union in Romulus has led several nearby schools to be put on lockdown Wednesday morning.The robbery occurred at a credit union on Ecorse Road. The armed man fled the scene and is wanted by authorities.The schools placed on lockdown include Burton Center on Beverly Road, Romulus Elementary School and Cory Elementary School, Local 4 reported. Nobody is allowed to enter or leave the schools, Local 4 reported.School officials said they have been in contact with police and are following their direction.Police have closed a perimeter of Van Born Road to Beverly Road to Wayne Road to the railroad tracks while they search for the robber, Local 4 reported.
