The league could certainly use more shooters, but there are plenty of guys like Tony Delk, who can nail all sorts of shots if they are open. Delk's nickname is Tony Buckets. If you put 100 balls behind the three-point line in an open gym and asked Delk to shoot them, how many would he make?
"About 80 or 85," Delk said. "Most good players get into a rhythm. And once you get into a rhythm, you get into the zone. And when you're in the zone, you feel like you're never going to miss."
When Delk says 80 or 85, is that accurate?
"Probably," Hunter said. "I think most of us can knock them down with nobody there."
