View Full Version : Superhero mural I'm making for my kid...
This is the first attempt I've ever made at painting anything, let alone a fucking wall. It's about halfway done. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it so far.
Check it out:

MoTown 05-11-2006, 03:42 PM It's very good..... but I'm more of a fan of your original work. Remember your origins, TK.

I put that fucker on my livingroom wall.
Also, the modified version you show there should be credited to Fool. He did the reverse mohawk.
MoTown 05-11-2006, 03:49 PM Well then it seems to me that you should invite Fool to the house for a little painting party. You're kid will be insane in no time!
Anthony 05-11-2006, 04:48 PM Thats sweet.
It does look good TK, much better than I would imagine I could do.
But why superheroes and not something more like this?

Glenn 05-12-2006, 05:53 AM DE3 is a superhero!
(and I think I just saw him in a Burger King in Kalamazoo, it's also possible that Tupac was with him)

flipscrackers 05-13-2006, 01:27 PM Looks pretty good so far. Reminds me of Jae Lee artwork.
that's cool as hell, TK
Thanks!
I put the first layer of color on Wolverine this weekend. I'll start with the shading tonight - hopefully it'll turn out.

Scratch that, Pistons are on tonight. I'll start with the shading tomorrow night.
Vinny 05-16-2006, 12:47 PM Dude, that's sweet. Make sure you show us the final pictures. Did you draw that freehand or trace>???

It's freehand, more or less. Taken from comic books. I put a grid on the smaller image, transposed to grid to scale on the wall, and used that to sketch in the images.
Wolverine's about halfway done with coloring.
Glenn 05-16-2006, 02:01 PM What are you gonna paint over it when your kid decides that he doesn't like these characters?

Glenn 05-16-2006, 04:51 PM I think a huge Tripod logo would be sweet as hell.
Kids love Tripod!

Darth Thanatos 05-17-2006, 03:05 PM That is awesome as hell. Mad props TK on being a great father.
I wish I had some skill like that.
