anyone see this? top 10 point guard list all time. they had their panel of experts choose, and they came up with a top 3 of magic, oscar, then zeke.
sounds pretty good, right?
well, if you look at the individual voting, theres something that sticks out.
chris sheridan has isiah thomas as the 9th best pointguard of all time.
his list: O, magic, kidd, stocton, cousy, archibald, nash (!!!), frazier, zeke, gary peyton.
i think sheridan had a footnote somewhere saying if the heat get past the nets in the second round, he'll probably flip zeke and peyton.
before this list, sheridan was one of my favorite espn writers. now, i dont think i'll ever read him again. his list sucks. i expected zeke hate from bill simmons, who had zeke as the 6th best all time (which i thought was shockingly low). but 9th best? behind nash? sheridan is a fucking moron. get that fag off the payroll.

oh snap, john hollinger's list is damn near as fucked as sheridan's. but its hard to hate on hollinger, he just writes what his calculater tells him.

I don't even know him and I hate his guts.
Nash should not sniff any top 10 all-time PG list, or even a top 20 PG list.
I bet all this Zeke hate is because of what he's done with the Knicks, which should not interfere with all the great things he's done as an actual player. There is no doubt in my mind that Zeke is a top 3 PG of all-time.

Exactly. I think Zeke's an asshole, but I don't let that effect how I
feel about him as a player. He's one of the greatest players of all time.

Really? A two-time MVP? I'd think he'd make at least the top 20.

Two MVP awards he did not deserve.

This is just more proof that Hollinger seriously has no fucking clue. How does a guy who has never watched a game of basketball get a job writing columns for espn?

I have to agree.
Should have been AI last year and Kobe this year.
If they really wanted a white guy to win it...(OH NO!!!)

I would rather have seen Nowitzki win this year.

They fucked the other Zeke too -- Jerry West. All the fucking analysts who missed him should have the fucking Logo jammed up their asses, with feeling!
Personally, I don't see Isiah as unquestionably Top 3, but there's so much doofus crap in that survey that it's not worth singling out any one bonehead.

I'll admit the bottom is a little different than I'd have it, but a Top 3 of Oscar-Magic-Stockton is not fucked up. I wont say Gary Payton is the 4th best ever, but he's definitely not the worst PG on that list(like they have him).

You can bring it up with Stephen A Smith, the guy who led the Nash-for-MVP campaign.
