Here's hoping they squash this losing shit. I went with 2/3.

Pudge on 1st? I'd rather DH him if you dont want him catching tonight. Let Young play 1st.

Young must not be ready to play in the field.

Yeah, and Shelton will finally get time to rest his mind and body.

I think this will be pretty cool. I wonder how Pudge will do.

Is Dmitri that bad in the field that Leyland would prefer Pudge at 1st over him?

Tied at 2-2 after an Infante triple. This, I'm afraid, is currently more interesting than the Pistons game.

Jeff Conine with a 2 run HR to make it a one run game in the bottom of the 6th.

Score: 5-4 Tigers.

H1Man

And Rodney gives up 2 HR's within a span of 7 pitches and the Orioles tie the game at 6-6.

Fuck. After all, these are the Tigers. 7-6 Orioles.

Top of the 9th coming up.

The Todd Jones affect.

What's up with Guillen?

He has been making a lot of errors lately.

Darth Thanatos

He has been making errors ALL SEASON. His fuck-ups cost us this game.

Yeah, the Guillen errors this year are really troubling.

By the way, yesterday EVERYBODY was calling Stoney and Wojo telling them that Todd Jones needs to go and Rodney is ready. That was a curse of enormous proportion.

Yeah, but his bat actually kept us in the game. What can you do? We're better than this team and should take the next two.

6-3 Tigers in the top of the 8th.

Ordonez still on fire. 6-3 bottom of 9th

Don't fuck this up, TJ.

It's official: I'm going all in on the Tiger's bandwagon. This game was fantastic. Our starting pitcher kept 'em guessing with only two pitches, our #9 and #1 batters hit back-to-back home runs and I'm hearing the announcers say things like "they'll have to start pitching around Magglio because his power is back". Even if they can't catch Chicago, I'm still seeing them as a competitive team down the stretch.

Is this how Lions fans feel after starting 2-0?

.....somebody talk me out of this, please.

Some of my posts disappeared last night. Weird.

So who is on the hill tonight? Rogers?

If posts are deleted, it usually shows up on here for me as "Post Deleted" with details. I don't see anything like that. When did you post them? Were there a bunch?

So who is on the hill tonight? Rogers?

Tonight it's Kenny Rogers vs Erik Bedard.

Bedard has had two starts against the Tigers in his career and he's gotten roughed up pretty good. He's 0-1 with an 8.44 ERA. Pretty much our entire lineup has hit him pretty well, with Young, Pudge, Maggs, Infante, and Inge going a combined 14-29 (.483 Avg.) with two homers and two doubles. He's been pretty hit or miss so far this year with a couple of good starts and a couple of real bad ones. He got roughed up real good last time out, giving up 6 runs while lasting only 2 innings. That could be good or bad as some pitchers rebound real well from limited inning outings like that because of the extra rest. Also, he spells his name with a K because he likes to be different which is real annoying so let's see if we can take it to him tonight.

Every one should know Kenny Rogers' story by now. He's been pretty mediocre against the O's the last few years but he's been pretty good this year in general so that might not mean much. Miguel Tejada's always had his number and Jay Gibbons and Javy lopez haven't seem too fooled in their limited experience against him.

I say Kenny gives us another quality start tonight and the Tigers squeak one out with a rally, say 6-4 Tigers.

I was talking to H1Man in this thread about Pudge batting 3rd. It could have been another thread, but I'm not sure. It's really not a big deal.

My prediction: Pudge has a 4 RBI game and the Tigers win 11-7.

We posted at the same time. Funny how we both predicted 11 Tiger runs tonight.

If we're right, I'm flying to Cali and we're going drinkin'.

I don't know why we'd be flying in California, but lets get drunk anyway!
