View Full Version : Favorite Bond Actor
Anthony 05-09-2006, 11:04 AM In honner of the new Bond movie coming out, i'm wodering who was your favorite bond?
Note, Daniel Craig hasnt actually came out with a movie yet, his 1st will be this year. And Lazenby only did one film.
I'm having a hard time choosing between Brosan and Moore
Fraserburn 05-09-2006, 11:47 AM 1) Connery
2) Moore
3) Brosnan
4) Dalton
5) Lazenby
Craig - Pending
MOLA1 05-09-2006, 12:01 PM I wanted to go with Moore because of "A View to a Kill" but that was more
for my man Christopher Walken. What a fuckin G.

I'm voting for Daniel Craig based on his work in Layer Cake.
That movie is one of my all-time favorites.
He shouldn't be an option in the poll, but since he is, he's been selected.

Have a nice day fuckers.
DennyMcLain 05-09-2006, 12:05 PM You forgot David Niven (Casino Royale - 1967).
But hands down, Connery.
Moore never took anything seriously.
Dalton looked like a mouse.
Bronson reminded me of Remington Steele
Lazenby, wel... sucked.
And Daniel Craig? The first week of shooting, he hops into a car and looks puzzled. They ask him why. "I can't drive a stick shift". Fuck that shit!!!
Anthony 05-09-2006, 12:20 PM i thought the first Casino Royale didnt count as an official 007 movie. It started out a original, and became a spoof due to lack of funds
Or thats how I understand it.
Anthony 05-09-2006, 12:21 PM I went with Moore, BTW
Fraserburn 05-09-2006, 12:38 PM Casino Royale (67) and Never Say Never Again
are "unofficial" Bond Movies
Never Say Never Again was pretty much a remake of Thunderball
and Connery will always be THE Bond
and Moore had to follow that and change it up he made Bond cool AND funny......it was something that had to be done if you're following in Connery's footsteps
Brosnan was Remington steele and has been in every TV show and Movie he's ever been in.....thats why he's 3
the rest of the guys just blew
MoTown 05-09-2006, 01:01 PM I think Brosnan got screwed with horrible scripts. Goldeneye was a very good movie, but they just went downhill from there. Tomorrow Never Dies and the World is not Enough were just average, while Die Another Day made me hate Halle Berry. They just got too involved with futuristic technology in the last one.
Pierce was my second favorite behind Connory, but he could have benefitted from better plots and scripts.
Fraserburn 05-09-2006, 01:05 PM I wonder why Connery doesnt catch much flak for doing Never Say Never Again?
Black Dynamite 05-09-2006, 01:44 PM I think Brosnan got screwed with horrible scripts. Goldeneye was a very good movie, but they just went downhill from there. Tomorrow Never Dies and the World is not Enough were just average, while Die Another Day made me hate Halle Berry. They just got too involved with futuristic technology in the last one.

pierce looked the part more than anyone. but i actually liked his movies. all except the world is not enough. die another day was the shit to me and goldeneye was off the hook. but die another day was hot IMO.
Darth Thanatos 05-09-2006, 01:59 PM DAD was my favorite Bros movie by far, not to mention the Brosnan era brought us great video games.
My favorite is Connery. I love that man.
Anthony 05-09-2006, 02:31 PM I wonder why Connery doesnt catch much flak for doing Never Say Never Again?
That was one of the worst films i've ever seen in my life. IMO, that runied his rep in my book.
Glenn 05-09-2006, 02:46 PM I went with Moore because he was the most entertaining to watch.
Second place: The penis mightier
MOLA1 05-09-2006, 02:53 PM Dan Craig shouldn't be up there. You fucked up A.G.
Glenn 05-09-2006, 03:11 PM Pierce Brosnan wasn't James Bond, IMO.
He's nothing but Remington Steele.

I've never even remotely enjoyed any James Bond movie I've ever watched.
On the other hand, I immensely enjoy the one's I haven't watched.
Black Dynamite 05-09-2006, 04:40 PM Pierce Brosnan wasn't James Bond, IMO.
He's nothing but Remington Steele.

remington steele is james bond.
Glenn 05-09-2006, 04:42 PM Sure, but he's the Kmart version of James Bond.
Unibomber 05-09-2006, 11:50 PM Connery without question. He brought absolutely everything to the role of James Bond.
Brosnan is a close second. He really was amazing.
Daniel Craig's review will be pending.
George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton suck at life.
Uncle Mxy 05-10-2006, 07:34 AM I'll go with Connery.
Whenever I look at Pierce Brosnan and Roger Moore as Bond, I think of them as being better in their Bond-esque roles as Remington Steele and Simon Templar.
George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton suck at life.
Lazenby sucked, and the worst part was that he starred in the greatest of all the Bond movies. Instead of Die Another Day, Brosnan should've just done a remake of On His Majesty's Secret Service.
Dalton suffered from bad scripts as much as anything. Of course, the only Bond script in the past 20 years that I wouldn't consider "mostly crap" is The World Is Not Enough.
Anthony 05-10-2006, 01:17 PM Anyone ever read any of the books
Fraserburn 05-11-2006, 09:27 AM Anyone ever read any of the books
I have, they are better than the movies in some ways
