Glenn 05-08-2006, 06:21 PM This is going to be awesome.
Too bad 98% of the country won't see it.
realistic 05-08-2006, 09:00 PM Phoenix wins in 5.
Glenn 05-08-2006, 09:16 PM FYI
Bucher has LAC in 6
Gecko 05-08-2006, 09:18 PM Let me be the first here to take the Clippers in 6! The Suns were exposed last series and they won't have an answer for Brand.
How's aliens defense these days?
Kstat 05-08-2006, 11:02 PM My suns did what I wanted them to do. Im rooting for my clippers over my suns now.
Kstat 05-08-2006, 11:03 PM Golem doesn't play defense at all anymore. He doesnt have the legs.
That said, he can still post up and score at will on any other PG.
Kstat 05-08-2006, 11:55 PM Brand setting a new Clippers playoff record for points in a half, which is like Matt setting a WTF record for posts since 1996....
realistic 05-09-2006, 12:25 AM Kaman is quite the dream boat.
Kstat 05-09-2006, 12:30 AM He looks like the assistant from "Coach"......
Kstat 05-09-2006, 01:25 AM 130-123? Nice.
LA shoots %60 from the floor and loses by 7? LOL
Darth Thanatos 05-09-2006, 12:36 PM This is quite the popular game thread.
I figured the Clippers would fare better than the Lakers because their post players are actually good.
Kstat 05-09-2006, 01:24 PM Yeah, but they still dont play much defense.
And unlike the Lakers, the CLippers actually DO want to get out and run.
Black Dynamite 05-09-2006, 04:39 PM the clippers had the right gameplan. but the shots were coming too easy so easy that next thing you know they running with the suns. oh how they fell into the Suns trap. :(
Darth Thanatos 05-10-2006, 11:22 PM The Clippers are playing a hybrid game and Cassell is punking out Nash so far. I love that fucking Alien. I hope he gets paid this Summer.
Kstat 05-11-2006, 12:56 AM Well, thats makes it 3 series our of 4 tied 1-1 right now.
Uncle Mxy 05-11-2006, 05:35 AM The Clips outrebounded the Suns 57-26.
Darth Thanatos 05-11-2006, 01:34 PM Kaman could have outrebounded the whole team if he wanted to.
Darth Thanatos 05-11-2006, 01:35 PM I thought he'd be another big white stiff coming out of that dump CMU but I was wrong about him. Dude has mad game.
realistic 05-15-2006, 12:37 PM Phoenix wins in 5.:(
Darth Thanatos 05-15-2006, 05:57 PM They didn't even need Kaman or the defense of Ross. LMFAO
Did Marion just choke away 2 free throws to put his team up in the last minute of play?
Wow! 8 second violation on Cassell.
Both Nash and Cassell miss jumpshots. Tim Thomas throws the ball full court rather than call a timeout for a last possession.
Kstat 05-17-2006, 01:41 AM Sam Cassell is a badass.
H1Man 05-17-2006, 01:43 AM RAJA BELL!!!
Kstat 05-17-2006, 01:46 AM HOLY SHIT.
Raja Bell.
Joe Asberry 05-17-2006, 01:46 AM double OT...omg, great game
H1Man 05-17-2006, 01:49 AM That 3pointer by Marion at the end of 1st OT almost went in.
H1Man 05-17-2006, 01:54 AM The replay didn't look that bad but he looked like he was in a LOT of pain.
Edit: Marion just checked back into the game.
Jones so didn't want to shoot that.
Black Dynamite 05-17-2006, 02:11 AM very competitive game. phoenix is defying some serious issues matching up with bigger teams. they got alot of will.
H1Man 05-17-2006, 02:12 AM Game Over.
Phoenix wins 125-118.
Kstat 05-17-2006, 02:15 AM This Suns team refuses to die.
H1Man 05-17-2006, 02:18 AM Livingston made 2 bone-headed plays near the end, although Barkley disagrees with the out of bounds call.
Edit: Maybe Barkley is right after all.
Kstat 05-17-2006, 02:40 AM it was one bonehad play, and one phantom out of bounds call.
Glenn 05-17-2006, 08:31 AM I saw Cassell's 8 second violation on ESPN this morning.
WTF was he smiling about?
How Embarassing!!
My dream of a Suns-Pistons finals is alive for yet another day.
Apparently he forgot about the shot clock running off a bit before they got the timeout called (immediately prior to the call). He had to go to Dunleavy and ask him what happened before he understood. The announcers said Bell (I think it was Bell) was talking to him as he came up the court.
Glenn 05-17-2006, 10:37 AM I really like Raja Bell.
I was in favor of the Pistons going after him this offseason, and I really wish we could have landed him.
He did some work for ESPN during the playoffs last year and he really seems to have a good understanding of the game, and he was entertaining too.
He would have been a great addition to this team, much better than Evans, for sure. The chance at a starting role in PHX probably was a big draw for him.
He'd be on the bench = he wouldn't play EVER.
If I were in the NBA I wouldn't want to be on the Piston bench.
Pharaoh 05-17-2006, 10:51 AM Bell took more money, a starting job, better climate and an opportunity to actually shoot the ball a lot over a bench role, less money, worse climate and less shots?
No way! I can't believe it? Really? Are you serious? Damn!
Glenn 05-17-2006, 11:37 AM Geez, I'm not saying that I'm surprised, especially since we never even had the chance to talk to him.
He was just somebody that would have made us a much better team, and he got the MLE, so I consider him a nice bargain for PHX.
As I said, just wishful thinking on my part.
Pharaoh 05-17-2006, 11:57 AM I know you didn't say you were surprised, GD.
I just felt like fooling around.
Clips up 12 at the half......can they force a game 7?
Glenn 05-19-2006, 10:40 AM Has anyone figured out why they played game 6 on a Thursday night and then game 7 is not until Monday?
They are going to totally miss the weekend TV opportunity and letting the fans in the east watch game 7 at a reasonable hour. I thought most of these decision were driven by TV? Why wouldn't they want a weekend game?
Does TNT just not do weekend games?
Darth Thanatos 05-19-2006, 12:01 PM Game 7 baby!
It would be awesome if the Clipshow won, but the Suns have been the luckiest team in the playoffs. I'm starting to think they're more lucky than good. All the bounces go their way.
So yeah, go Clippers.
realistic 05-20-2006, 03:43 PM I just ate like 9 pounds of watermelon.
Glenn 05-20-2006, 03:59 PM A Saturday afternoon game 7 would have been nice right about now.
Also, congrats on the watermelon, r.
Black Dynamite 05-20-2006, 06:36 PM I just ate like 9 pounds of watermelon.
thats instant diarrhea in the morning. good luck.
Anthony 05-20-2006, 10:20 PM A black man would know

DennyMcLain 05-20-2006, 10:33 PM Uh buoy. Here we go again.
Black Dynamite 05-20-2006, 11:30 PM A black man would know
sorry, did I say that? I ment any watermelon fan would

The worst thing about this outcome is that VTB is out of the playoffs.
Artis Gilmore 07-06-2006, 12:02 PM This was a good series.
