I say the score will be 96-69.

LeBron will barely hit 30 but not enough help.

Anthony

more of the same, I hope

Matt

another televised humiliation would be nice.

i can't imagine lebron being held under 30 again....but then again, Ben should be supercharged after he is presented his DPOY award. Ben's good for a few charge draws and blocks to discourage bron-bron.

I would ask "Are you stoned?" but...

96 - 88 Pistons. Cavs will bring a better effort in this one, and the Pistons will dare the Cavs to beat them by not bringing 100% effort. In the end the Pistons will pull it out.

98 to 88 going to the stones. LBJ drops 40 hence the closer score.

Kstat

Itll be closer, but not as close as people think.

We're clearly the better team, but it takes a lot of other intangibles to go from simply being better to absolutely destroying a team like we did in game 1.

Not only was Cleveland exhausted from Washington, but we hit every shot we took - especially the 3's, and just every single thing went the Pistons way while nothing went Cleveland's way.

This time, I predict the Cavs will be less emotionally and physically exhausted, the Pistons will hit a lower pct. of their 3's, Tay won't score 24 points again off 1,000% shooting, and the result will be...

Pistons 101
Cavs 93

Players of the game: Chauncey Billups/Rasheed Wallace

Things won't be as easy as last game but still Cleveland was down 21 at half and was shooting above 50% so its not like they weren't doing bad either on the offensive end.

sheed's already shot a lefty in the first quarter. game's already over in his mind, lol.

i don't like the game at all. we did a horrible job with the double teams toward the end when they finally came hard on them. And Flip got in his asshole mood to run the same play time and time again when it wasnt producing points regardless of the matchup.

I'm glad we won, but we won't win either game in cleveland if we get lazy like that. I also didnt like the rotation. it seemed like he blamed the whole bench for mo evans getting two quick fouls.:p seriously though not even Dyess got in the game much in the second half.

Also we are depending a ben a lil too much purposely letting guards go by us. bad execution and a sucky win. Hopefully we'll deal with that double team better next game.

They got soooo bored in this game. I've never seen a team that wanted a game to end after 3 quarters more then these guys did tonight. Can't say I blame 'em. It's like playing a WNBA team for them.

Agreed. This ending was very unsatisfying but I don't think I've ever had a harder time keeping a second round game on. Especially with Fratello and Mr. Nobody practically falling asleep on the broadcast.

Matt

fratello was so annoying...."if the cavs can get 5 stops, hit 5 triples, they can slice the lead to 6! then it's only a two possession game...."

Did anybody notice when, after a whistle, LeBron launched a 3 pointer lefthanded, then grinned in Sheed's direction?

The camera didn't show it, but I swear I heard the distinctive sound of a swish after that shot. I didn't see him grin at Sheed but I definately remember the shot.

Great game. I was completely happy with the asskicking part and kind of pissed
when Cleveland cut it down in the 4th, but all it did was make me sit up for a
couple of minutes. I was smoking a little bit more, but nothing too crazy.
I figured the Pistons had it in the bag, but that didn't stop me from worrying
about hearing a LeBronathon of news until the next game.

Great fucking timing by [smilie=rip.gif] man. Just when you thought he'd
go fieldgoaless again like he did against Utah and come with the FT's he
makes a couple of great plays. Good shit Rip. Let's kill these fuckers.

Also, I saw the left handed 3 LeBron hoisted. It was definitely all net.
Bron did happento grin at Sheed, a couple of players started to laugh a little bit.

As for the game: All in all...GOOD SHOW!

I hope we come out swinging in Cleveland. I hope our team does what they're
fully capable of against these retarded ass-clowns and

Probably not a bad thing that our boys got a little bit of a scare at the end, might help us next month, or whenever we play our next game.

It wasn't just me... damn, was watching at a friend's place, and the TNT broadcast was just plain lifeless. I couldn't get my friend to mute the TV and tune into Blaha.

2 things about the game that stood out to me.

First, Mike Brown wears some really nice specs. I wonder what brand they are, I really like them.

Second, I swear Fratello's hair isn't real. Anyone know if that's his real hair? I remember him wearing a totally different hairstyle in the 80's when he coahed the Hawks. I think it was a Pat Riley look.

Those are the 2 things that I came away with from last nights game. On a serious note I am sure that it has been hard for this team to keep interested these first 2 rounds. It's probably not a good thing these teams are walk overs. They would be better served by playing teams that are just a little more competitive.

Fratello had a perm back in the day.

I think he's either a Hair Club member these days, or it's a rug.

Gecko

Nope it was the Riles look, which I think looks much much better than his current look. He reminds me of of one of those ventriloquist dummies you sit in your lap. He has that doll hair look to him.

In this picture he seems to have a nice head of hair. It's even across the top, thick and somewhat luxurious. Hard to imagine he somehow lost these golden locks.
http://images.tsn.ca/images/stories/20040114/mike_fratello_29952.jpg

edit: I figured it out. he went Dougie Eminem Collins with it and dyed, rather hydrogen peroxided the shit out of it. That's why it looks like a dog pissed on top of his head.

This will set up nicely for a question I have in mind for the off-topic forum later.
