PONTIAC -- A Rochester Hills teenager who investigators said stabbed his mother 111 times because she interrupted his "mission from God" to kill pedophiles, abortion doctors and U.S. Sen. John Kerry, was sentenced Monday to 25 to 37 1/2 years in prison.

As part of a sentencing agreement to avoid trial, Christopher Dankovich, 16, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the April 24, 2005, death of his mother, Diane Michele.

Investigators said Michele, 49, was stabbed 111 times by Dankovich after she confronted him about visiting pornographic Web sites on his computer and finding weapons-making materials under his bed.

some sick shit. I'm guessing "confronting" him about porn involved more than a simple discovery--maybe she gave him a lecture "Carrie"-style: "They're all gonna laugh at you." Remember, she was probably pretty messed up herself since she raised the kid.

Still, he probably overreacted. There's no need to stab anybody over 100 times. Unless you're working with a butterknife. That requires a bit more endurance.

Everyone's focusing on the porn and skipping past the "...and found weapons-making materials under his bed" part. I'm guessing the discovery that she might have the next columbine kid on her hands might have escalated things just a bit.

I don't think 25 to 37 and a half years is enough.

Does that mean that - best case scenario for society - this raving fucking lunatic is going to simply be let out among us normal people who don't want to die when he's in his 50's and still more than capable of killing a lot of people?

Is there any form of mental examination before they let him go, or it it simply "you've served the maximum amount of your sentence, and you're free to leave, Mr. 'I think the devil is speaking to me' guy"?

I think it means he's got 37 years to refine his list of future targets.

Hopefully he'll lift weights and learn how to make really good shanks, so he can be more efficient when he gets out.
