They lost their minds a long time ago blowing off Sony and Playstation and making N64 cartridge-based.

Gamecube had failure written all over it once the controller appeared.

Problem is, they don't realize that some of their ideas might be too radical for people to adapt too. And that's their downfall.

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiierd. You would think Nintendo would start to conform a bit due to their recent struggles, but apparently that is not the case. You've got to give them credit from being different, but they are really starting to alienate people in America.

Why would you try and conform? This may be a shocker to you all, but the XBox only sold 22 million units, just a bit over the GC's 21 million. That's with low polygon digital boobies and all. The 360 pretty much bombed in Japan, granted PS3 will dominate that market but Nintendo will always have a foothold. How many rehashes of the same games with slightly different fighters and/or graphics do we need? I mean seriously, why don't they just copy the specs and launch price of the PS3, call itself the Nintendo SuperNES3(SNES3 for short), and release "Dead of Alive 5: Big Titties in 1080i" as their launch title. That would surely put them back on top(saddest part is, it probably would). In fact, I think we could use 5 or 6 more consoles selling the exact same games.

Fuck ya'll. It could be called the Nintendo Zhang Wang Xu 12:30 Lunch and Nintendo will still be around in 50 years. I'm going to buy one just to PM Arch and ask him to come over and play with with my Wii.

hmmm i hope no one thought microsoft ran the market. they still are chasing sony. and their lack of an ability to sell in japan will keep them from ever touching sony's worldwide profit margin.

I didn't say it was a bad thing. I'm actually really interested in the Wii (?) and I am intrigued at how they're going to utilize their new "controller". I'll probably get one myself, but I just thought they'd make a "safe" system this generation, that would be comparable to the PS3 and the 360. I'm just saying that Nintendo seems to be saying "screw the US" and are marketing towards Japan.
