Kstat 04-20-2006, 09:14 PM Washington has too many weapons.
Wiz in 6.
Artis Gilmore 04-20-2006, 09:17 PM Cavs in 5, LeBron will dominate.
Hermy 04-20-2006, 09:18 PM I thought I was going out on a limb a couple weeks ago when I said the Wiz could take it to 7, and they've played bad since. Now its everyones upset pick, so for shits I'll say CLE sweeps em.
Darth Thanatos 04-20-2006, 09:44 PM Washington has too many weapons.
Wiz in 6.
Cleveland has A LOT more weapons than Washington.
Expect a lot of 125-130 point games here. Cavs in 6.
Kstat 04-20-2006, 09:50 PM Washington has too many weapons.
Wiz in 6.
Cleveland has A LOT more weapons than Washington.
Please. Damon Jones, Drew Gooden and Flip Murray dont count as weapons.
Darth Thanatos 04-20-2006, 09:58 PM Antonio Daniels, Brendan Haywood, and Jared Jeffries don't count as weapons either.
Anthony 04-20-2006, 10:05 PM Dude, I think Gilbert can win you 2 but thats it. LBJ is too good for the cavs. Unless he breaks his leg, the cavs will win in 6.
MoTown 04-21-2006, 10:41 AM To be honest with you, I would rather face Cleveland than Washington. I think the Wiz match up with the Pistons better, combined with the fact that they are the only Eastern Conference team the Pistons did not beat this year. (I know the last game doesn't count)
Glenn 04-21-2006, 10:45 AM Caron Butler is the X Factor, IMO. He really seems to be blosso...coming along at the right time.
It's not the Cavs time yet. Last year, missed playoffs, this year, made playoffs. Maybe next year they can win a series after they make some offseason roster moves.
Bullets in 6.
Anthony 04-21-2006, 11:26 AM The NBA wants to see LeBron do well. It will happen. Plus, the Wiz scare me more than the heat do.
Tahoe 04-21-2006, 10:55 PM This will prolly be the best of the EC series.
We will flat out whoop either team so my only hope is that they go 7 with about 10 OTs.
Let the playoffs begin.......

BINGO! I said it 100 times man.
Miami shouldn't have traded for Shaq if their objective was to win a championship.
There is no replacement for the excitement and the revenue that Shaq has brought to
that joint and it's obvious that it was a huge reason that they wanted him so badly.
Wade, Caron and Odom were getting ready to make a great trio and I was pretty annoyed
to see that it wasn't going to keep rolling. I actually loved the Heat before Shaq got there.
That was an exciting team to watch. They had a fun playoff run too. Not bad for some youngins.
As far as this series. I wanna see Cleveland.
Mostly because of the Sheed VS Cleveland shit.
It's great entertainment.
caron looks like a freaking stud now. he plays with so much confidence.
he kind of reminds me of Corey Maggette.....strong and a very capable scorer. i think they're both around the same size as well.
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 03:20 PM He looks a little more like Artest to me.
But this game has been terrible so far. Where is the offense?
He looks a little more like Artest to me.

CLE w/ 30 pts in the 1st qtr [smilie=arrgh.jpg]
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 03:42 PM LeBron has owned by Wizards so far. He got fouled by 7'0 260 Brendan Haywood but was still able to get the shot off and made it! Dude is a freak.
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 04:08 PM Flip Murray and Larry Hughes jacking up dumb jumpshot after dumb jumpshot,
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 04:14 PM Bad offense by Washington or good defense by Cleveland?
The Wizards are playing pretty poor offense, the Cfavs are just playing a zone and the Wizards are hardly doing anything to try and beat it (from what I've seen, though I haven't been glued to the game) and the game is still in reach.. They only need to take one of these Cav home games as the Cavs suck on the road.
Kstat 04-22-2006, 04:16 PM Bad offense.
Cleveland was zoning the shit out of the Wizards, and they were having the same issues with it they had with us wednesday.
You never really see how good the Wizards can be until later in the game when they adjust to the team that's defending them.
This pretty much mirrors Washignton's 1st game against the Bulls last year, when they stunk the building up.
I don't think the Wiz will recover today, but they'll be back strong in game 2.
BubblesTheLion 04-22-2006, 04:22 PM Cavs game plan so far
Pick and roll at the top with Bron and Z.
As Z runs up for the pick sometimes Bron will drive running past him ( drive and shoot, drive and throw across court to opposite wing for a 3 ball )
If Z sets the pick Bron will go Strong and Z will step out to the 18-15 range waiting for a pass, (at the same time Bron will have a basketcutter ready for a pass) Bron will either dish it to Z, Drive Weak, Kick it to the Cutter, or run behind the Cutter Strong. (Drive or Kick it to Wing for 3)
gusman 04-22-2006, 04:28 PM good half time interview with gilbert and that kid who lost his family
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 04:35 PM gusman: I agree.
And more jumpshots by Washington against the zone. They clearly have not learned their lesson.
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 04:55 PM Damon Jones 1st appearance in the game.
Watch Washington go on a 1,000,000-0 run.
DennyMcLain 04-22-2006, 04:58 PM WTF. Just post LeBron the rest of the game.
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 05:01 PM WHAT A PASS BY LEBRON!
*puts on LeBron jersey*
http://wtfdetroit.com/images/smiles/locked.gif
BubblesTheLion 04-22-2006, 05:02 PM We are so much better than these two teams it's not even funny.
DennyMcLain 04-22-2006, 05:02 PM Nevermind. Nice dish.
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 05:03 PM ABC need to have their NBA license ripped up.
Playing Tom Petty before the commercial? Fuck a ABC.
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 05:08 PM Retarded ass fadeaway by LeBron.
4th quarter. Arenas time.
Kstat 04-22-2006, 05:12 PM This game was over by halftime.
I still dont think this will be how the series will play out, though.
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 05:40 PM LeBron should just go for the triple-double.
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 05:45 PM LeBron with 10 career triple-dubs already. He's only 21......
DennyMcLain 04-22-2006, 05:47 PM 10 rebounds?
Where'd that 9th one come from?
I smell a conspiracy.
-NoQuarter- 04-22-2006, 05:48 PM Gee, I wonder if his lack of Playoff experience is hurting him...
LMFAO!
Oh, and by the way...Lebron just said "fuck a Kobe" wih this game. I happen to agree with him.
Darth Thanatos 04-22-2006, 05:50 PM Playoff experience is overrated.
-NoQuarter- 04-22-2006, 05:54 PM Playoff experience is overrated.
Bingo!
Goddamn, I'm sick of that shit. I truly believe TEAM experience is important in the Playoffs, not so much individual experience. It's amazing to me how Lebron's been killing the entire league all year, and suddenly the "experts" say his playoff experience is going to hurt him against the ZERO defense Wizards??? Give me a fucking break. It's not like the kid forgot how to play basketball in one week.
Lebron is a freak. [smilie=basketballh:
Artis Gilmore 04-22-2006, 09:07 PM Ubeliveable.
Black Dynamite 04-22-2006, 10:52 PM Experience does have value. I think Eric snow was the x factor in this one. unlike aqrenas he played poised and never out of control and he's does this many times in his career. But as far as inexperience goes. We'll see how ready Lebron is when they go to washington where those wizards are lil more potent. But the wizards arent that great on the road. i expected no wins in cleveland. no more than one if that.
metr0man 04-23-2006, 02:02 AM his team is playing the Wizards, a .500 team. Playoff experience means jack shit in that series... where playoff experience does matter is going to be when he's playing a non pussy team.
Like the Pistons.
Pharaoh 04-23-2006, 05:06 AM All Hail Lebron!
Lack of playoff experience? Got any nerves?
A fucking triple double!
Just wait until he's 24 years old!
If he remains injury free he'll have the league on lockdown.
Black Dynamite 04-23-2006, 09:17 AM he has plenty of magic johnson type elements to him. not really jordanesque at all IMO. But some say magic was the greatest to ever play so its not a bad comparisom at all. Of course as long as he never wins a title he'll be ok with me. theres about a 3-4 year window he has before they give him a superior max contract and have Big Z requesting one too. and keeping a quality team around him gets rougher unless they go knicks ballistic on the cap which they wont. This is where they could lose him eventually. New york, chicago, LA, and bigger media market teams like those may get a shot at him if he ever goes FA.
though i dont really see carmello working out here. Getting lebron woulda been nice. He has a decent attitude and can be very unselfesh. it would be like getting grant hill without being garbage while having him. [smilie=arrgh.jpg]
With that said, its only one playoff game and you losers putting on your king james for world dictator t-shirts need be careful. Adjustments "should" be made and washington could flip the script. nevertheless congrats to the kid for starting off on the right foot. Sheed still owns his baby. [smilie=angel.gif]
Pharaoh 04-23-2006, 09:29 AM Loser?
I'm not saying he's gonna rule the world right now, but give the kid some time and see how he does.
He's a rare talent, Magic-like. He makes everyone around him better.
But yes I agree he'll still need players around him to him the title.
That's up to Ferry and Gilbert to put that in place though and I'm sure if it's not happening he'll force his way out.

i was tongue and cheek kidding on the loser part. [smilie=angel.gif]
but i agree. odd that the last player built like him was Hill, and his exit may come at the same speed. he'll get atleast one max deal. but he'll be gone by the time the second max deal comes around IMO.
Pharaoh 04-23-2006, 09:44 AM What do you mean when you say Lebron "will be gone by the time the second max deal comes around"?
Gone from Cleveland?
Gone from the League?
Which?
He's 21 now and due his max deal within 2 seasons.
He'd be 29 when his first max deal ends, if he doesn't sign an extension (like Shaq and KG did)
No way he's out of the league (unless injuries kill his career).
Out of Cleveland? Like I said if the powers that be in Cleveland don't put a decent team around him and contend then I can see him forcing his way out.
He won't be another Kevin Garnett - sticking around for the shitty years (how many good years did Minny have?)
Anthony 04-23-2006, 11:30 AM All Hail Lebron!
Lack of playoff experience? Got any nerves?
A fucking triple double!
Just wait until he's 24 years old!
If he remains injury free he'll have the league on lockdown.
What he said.
Dude is unreal.
Un-fucking-real
Pharaoh 04-23-2006, 12:05 PM I'll be honest - I'm gonna have to download this game.
I'm in awe of his performance and I didn't even fucking see it!
I've never been in awe of a player - NEVER!
But this kid, at 21 years of age racked up a triple doube in the most important game of his life!
Dude never played in the playoffs either.
I think some people wanna just move on and think about the next game - that's insane.
You need to appreciate the performance he put on.
It's fucking insane.
Just imagine what he will do in 5 years!
Artis Gilmore 04-23-2006, 12:09 PM I said Wade was the 4th best player in the leuage awhile ago, and people flipped on me.
After today, he's number 2 besides Kobe. [smilie=stupid.gif]
I'd still take Kobe over Bron though.
Artis Gilmore 04-23-2006, 12:10 PM I think in the next three years the Cavs will go to the NBA finals atleast once.
Black Dynamite 04-23-2006, 01:44 PM ?
Gone from Cleveland?
from cleveland. ala about the same time grant hill jumped on us.
Kstat 04-23-2006, 02:02 PM I'll be honest - I'm gonna have to download this game.

There was a lot of stat-padding involved, when the game was already over...
LeBron had a nice game, but it wasnt as dominant as his stats would have you believe.
Pharaoh 04-24-2006, 11:52 AM Stat padding? OK, how much (what were his "real" numbers?)
And was the game actually over in your opinion.
Either way I'm still blown away by the performance, especially since the pressure on him is unbelieveable.
Black Dynamite 04-24-2006, 02:17 PM Stat padding? OK, how much (what were his "real" numbers?)
And was the game actually over in your opinion.
Either way I'm still blown away by the performance, especially since the pressure on him is unbelieveable.
Cleveland led for most of the game. And washington tried to make a run at the end, but were taking some dumb as nails shots.
Lebron did damn good. i dont get the being blown away. The Wizards cant play defense needed to slow him down. so i dont see why he wouldnt have a big series. i can see that coming a mile away. Eric Snow is a serious X factor because he looked light years ahead of Arenas on poise and playing under control.
I still see Washington winning their home games pretty easy.
zeebneebV.3 04-24-2006, 05:21 PM The point here is that Lebron is the perfect basketball player.
What I mean by that is he has the perfect NBA body(very similar to mine in fact) and he has court-vision, and he's a cerebral player.
For him, with the insane pressure placed on him by the media, to produce a triple-double in his first playoff game, is nothing short of awe-inspiring.
I just can't believe that an athlete, ON ANY LEVEL, actually EXCEEDED the hype surrounding him coming into a pro sport.
He has holes in his game right now, but once those are worked out, holy hell.
DennyMcLain 04-24-2006, 05:56 PM LBJ is only 21, and has Cleveland's future on his back.
At 21, Kobe still had Shaq to lean on.
Between the two, I choose LBJ, though I am a big Kobe fan.
The difference is in his "team" play. He's a fucking amazing passer, and has great court IQ, and has a great looking arc to his shot, and he's a good kid.
I'd like to see how Kobe is next year. He's shown some great signs of maturity and teamwork this year, the qualities needed to be a successful leader -- the qualities LBJ already possesses.
The only knock on LeBron is his defense, which is so-so at best. Kobe is a much better defender. But that will come around with experience.
i can't imagine lebron topping his playoff premiere.......but who knows
I am officially sick of MVP chants.
Also, the Wizards can't make shit.
I am officially sick of MVP chants.
during the Miami game, they started chanting MVP for Wade....but then JWilliams was at the line. it looked pretty stupid and it quickly died down. that's gotta be an ego-killer to have MVP chants die when you're at the line.
Kstat 04-25-2006, 07:29 PM so....when did the WIzards think Tipoff was?
damn! i just changed the channel for a bit and now it's only a 2 pt game.
Kstat 04-25-2006, 07:42 PM Well, nice to see the Wizards decided to show up and play ball....
Arenas with the halfcourt shot at the buzzer. Good to see it doesnt just happen to us...
Cavs were up 15, WIzards cut it to 2 by the end of the quarter.
Much as LeBron is a fantastic passer slashing to the rim, he is a VERY poor passer around the perimeter. He's thrown some very bad passes out at the arc that have either gone out of bounds or gotten picked off.
I've found if you keep him 20 feet from the basket, he has a hard time getting in his rythem, even if you have to double team him out there.
And this is why I picked the Wizards in this series. They played absolutely horrid in this quarter and the Cavs only got 23. They had multiple back-to-back turnover possessions and the Cavs are only up 2.
Butler on the block seems to be working nicely.
Kstat 04-25-2006, 07:45 PM ...and just like that, Washington is in the lead.
LOL, Ruffin is sooo dumb.
Kstat 04-25-2006, 07:48 PM LeBron is a slasher that can shoot. He's not a shooter that can slash, like Rip or Redd.
The distinction is, if you make him a shooter, he's not going to be half as effective, even though he can hit those shots when he's in a good groove. He needs the drive to set him up.
Likewise, if you make Redd a slasher, he wont be nearly as good either.
I think I'd agree with that distinction.
Welcome to the playoffs Gilbert, a game late but you showed up.
That's like the 3rd two footer Jefferies has missed and its only the 2nd quarter.
wow, jamison hasn't scored yet?!
Kstat 04-25-2006, 08:07 PM Now he has.
did Van Gundy just say that Lebron is as talented a passer as Kidd and Nash? that's a little too far w/ the lebron love, imo.
Kstat 04-25-2006, 08:41 PM Dont like the halftime adjustments at all by Mike Brown.
They did not need to make defensive adjustments. They were doping just fine on that end.
Switching defensively is exactly what washington WANTS. They thrive of getting mismatches and clearing the floor out.
Black Dynamite 04-25-2006, 08:58 PM hmmm a dude heckles eddie jordan on some racial shit gets a warning. because he's a season ticket holder. hmmm no wonder they get to freely boo lebron for not scoring 30 points.
Also Eric Snow's poise is offsetting quite a few mistakes by lebron. nevertheless the washington has their game face on.

i heard that...."he was issued a warning". wtf? boot that asswipe out of the building. who cares if he's a season ticket holder. are they that starved for a fan base?
Kstat 04-25-2006, 09:08 PM Maybe it was because there wasn't another witness? If it was just Eddie Jordan's word, then maybe they were skeptical.
In any case, he should have been tossed and given a warning that he would not be welcome back if he did it again.
that block by Lebron was Sportcenter worthy.......even though he was out of bounds.
Black Dynamite 04-25-2006, 09:21 PM Maybe it was because there wasn't another witness? If it was just Eddie Jordan's word, then maybe they were skeptical.
In any case, he should have been tossed and given a warning that he would not be welcome back if he did it again.
agreed. tossed forever is too harsh w/o more evidence. but he shoulda been thrown out of THIS game.
Nice team work by the Cavs to give the game away together.
Kstat 04-25-2006, 09:38 PM ballgame.
LeBron looked real confused tonight in some crucial situations.
-NoQuarter- 04-25-2006, 09:42 PM What in God's name is Lebron doing???
gusman 04-25-2006, 09:45 PM I think that the CAVS got a lot of favorable calls. I also think that announcer for the cavs is very very annoying.
Black Dynamite 04-25-2006, 09:50 PM 10 turnovers and 2 assists by lebron. they forced him to be just a scorer and gave him the jumpshot.. the right gameplan for them. if cleveland loses this, washington will be in prime position to go up 3-1 with them being so much better at home.
Black Dynamite 04-25-2006, 09:52 PM What in God's name is Lebron doing???
making mistakes. cant expect him to be perfect because he had a perfect game.
the wizards made adjustments. he has to do the same next game.
-NoQuarter- 04-25-2006, 09:53 PM GAME.
OVER.
[smilie=fatality.gi:
Kstat 04-25-2006, 09:54 PM Wizards win.
Now LeBron has to learn how to win on the road, and quick.....
I also think that announcer for the cavs is very very annoying.
What makes you say that?
You know, LeBron hasn't been the greatest today but he's still the greatest!
Black Dynamite 04-25-2006, 09:55 PM Poor Liu Kang. I mean Lebron. he's got his work cut out for him.
http://tabmok99.mortalkombatonline.com/kabal-hookrage-fatality.gif
gusman 04-25-2006, 09:59 PM I am speaking of the public address announcer and I did not like him because he kept yelling and talking to the fans. I will cheer if I want to cheer, I do not need to be preempted by some announcer to make noise.
Kstat 04-28-2006, 08:34 PM The Cavs are really going to have a tough time in Washington...
Kstat 04-28-2006, 10:57 PM Damn. Who saw that coming?
Areans will never have a more wide-open shot to wina game in his entire life. He'll be kicking himself for a while....
Uncle Mxy 04-28-2006, 11:02 PM LeBron's moves make me think Rip really doesn't travel.
You mean the hop step, then the pivot step, then the jump in the air? Definately not a travel. Nope. Not at all. [smilie=smash.gif]
Washington didn't deserve to win this game. They pretty much handed it to the Cavs in the 2nd half.
Kstat 04-29-2006, 01:15 AM Yep.
Although I really give zero credit to Lebron for that last shot. %90 of the starting swingmen in the NBA could have done that if you gave them 5 steps.
THat wasnt the usual wink-wink 3 step move that most players get, it was a nike-endorsed 5 step mega-travel that only lebron can get away with.
gusman 04-30-2006, 07:58 PM lebron is lighting it up to the 10th degree
Kstat 04-30-2006, 10:05 PM Arenas lit it up to a higher degree in the 2nd half.
Wizards just opened up a can on the Cavs. That's the Wizards team that can beat anybody on a given night.
Kstat 04-30-2006, 10:08 PM that makes 3 east series tied 2-2.
Hopefully the Pistons can break this trend tomorrow....
Kstat 05-03-2006, 11:27 PM Man, both of these teams are absolutely horrible at putting other teams away.
Cavs up 2, 35 seconds left.
H1Man 05-03-2006, 11:30 PM Tie game with 7.5 Seconds left.
Cleveland with the ball.
Kstat 05-03-2006, 11:31 PM ANOTHER Cavs turnover, and the Wizards get an easy layup to tie it with 7.5 seconds left. Amazing.
The Cavs just blew a 7-point lead in about a minute.
Kstat 05-03-2006, 11:33 PM Bron misses, we have OT.
I'll be very surprised if the Wizards dont win this. The Cavs are in total choke mode.
H1Man 05-03-2006, 11:33 PM Lebon misses a shot at the buzzer.
Headed to OT.
Kstat 05-03-2006, 11:38 PM LMAO Eric Snow is abusing Jamison!
H1Man 05-03-2006, 11:53 PM Cleveland with another careless TO.
Washington up 1 with 30.5 seconds left.
Kstat 05-03-2006, 11:54 PM These two teams are equally inept.
H1Man 05-03-2006, 11:59 PM Cleveland down 1 with 3.6 seconds left in OT.
starman91 05-04-2006, 12:00 AM Well will be another easy series whoever the pistons play...won't go more then 5 games. These teams both deserve to lose this game.
H1Man 05-04-2006, 12:00 AM Lebron wins it. 120-121.
starman91 05-04-2006, 12:01 AM Well good thing LeBron and the others won. This series likely to go 7 now.
Kstat 05-04-2006, 12:02 AM That was quite possibly the worst game 5 in NBA history. Both teams really sucked.
starman91 05-04-2006, 12:04 AM I've never been more bored with a close game in the playoffs then this one.
Black Dynamite 05-04-2006, 12:09 AM Kstat i know you added this to your high scoring archive. :)
but yea these teams are in for a shock when one of them plays against our defense. washington ran out of defense and cleveland couldnt stop them. but hey atleast they had fun.
starman91 05-04-2006, 12:10 AM Washington also must have had a timeout and been able to take it up to half court.
Kstat 05-04-2006, 12:10 AM great offense is only great because of the defense it's played against.
There was no defense played tonight.
david stern must sport wood for days when Lebron hits game winners....
looking at the camera angle from the inbound pass, it looks like Bron Bron got away with 4-5 steps, lol.
