Fuck Indy. Nets in 5.

This is a good guage of how well NJ will do against Shaq.

If they can do reasonably well vs Jermaine Oneal, theyve got a chance against Miami.

Indy in 7. it'll be much like the indy celtics series. plenty of NJ fuck ups keeps Indy alive just long enough to move on.

Nets in 5. Not much of a series here.

I really want Indy to win just so the Pistons can end their season.

My hunch is Nets in 6.

Unfortunately the Pacers would then have to beat the Heat, also.

The Nets were the hottest team in the NBA just two weeks ago. Unfortunately for them, they came back down to earth. They won't get back to that stage - but they'll still beat the Pacers with no problems. Nets in 5.

NJ is just too good for Indy. They dont have an answer for the nets big 3.

They would have an answer if Jonathan Bender wasn't hurt.

bold prediction. VC goes off, but grangers gives jefferson trouble. he's built kinda like jefferson(3 pounds heavier in fact) and is just as quick plus longer. this series will fall on how well kidd plays IMO. If he dominates the pacer guards its no contest. if not. it goes 7.

The Nets will win this series fairly easily, but hoping for the Pacers to make them work a little.

Who's guards Wade? Whomever it is will be tired by the time the ECF's roll around and this person has to then guard Rip. Hope he eats his wheaties.

I would like to see Shaq's creeky knees chug up and down the court for 6 games against Kidd and Co. Go Nets.

19 shots... at the half

Well, a road game has finally won.

VC wont have a game like this again, though.

I sense a 7-game series.

How the fuck do you call a foul with .9 left? Let the players decide it.
It took a bad call at the end and a bad preformance for the pacers to squeek by NJ. No way in hell they win this series.

I laid warning about INDY. Dont overrate Jersey and think they'll walk all over Pacers. JO can have his way with jerseys frontline. i expect a big series from his crummy ass.

Dumbass Kristic did decide it by pulling on Johnson's jersey. He put the refs in a helluva spot. I know I'd be steamed if somebody was pulling on Chauncey's jersey as he took a final shot... So good call, bonehead play, and an unfortunate ending.

I think the Nets might go on to win 4 straight.

Peja? WTF is his deal? He was so heraladed a few years ago but really he was living off of Webbers incredible play on the offensive side of the ball. Is he really gonna be sought after the offseason? He's a defensive liability and can't create his own shot. Very disappointed in Peja, thought he would be better.

if you're disappointed, then you didnt really watch him play. this has ALWAYS been his game. he's no "create a shot" guy and never has been. and his defense was so bad it made turgolu look like a stopper.

on top of it being a tough call for the ref. Jersey didnt play well enough to win. its their own fault. And if they blame the ref instead of fixing their failures, they'll be out soon. As far as indy being wiped out in 4 str8. i dont think they will. JO played like dog shit until the 4th and they won. i dont expect him to play that badly next game. Also they have absolutely no one to guard him.

Well at leat he was able to shoot lights out he can't even be counted on to average 20 a game anymore. His inconsistency is the disappointment.

he can still do that with a set up man and offensive philosophy worthy of what the bibby and the kings gave him. carlisle's offense and anthony johnson at PG arent really the idea set up for him to flourish.

yea i do too. but NJ is getting all this acclaim for winning late in the season like they've done for the past few seasons. I just find the idea of them and miami not getting past the first round hilarious. though miami will be fine probally. the nets may not be as lucky. as good as their perimeter players are, the indy frontline is much better than theirs. if JO finds a groove, Indy may get themselves in trouble.

Peja out tonight with a bum knee. F' the Pacers. Is anyone ever healthy on that team? After this news I am officially done with Pacers.

On a brighter note Bill Rafferty doing color analysis...Carter with the Kiss off the glass. Can't wait to hear it.

Even I cant stand to watch this sloppy-ass game...

VInce Carter and Krstic are going off on Indy, and without Peja Oneal is getting triple-teamed and he's shooting like %20 from the floor.

Sorta, but the Nets are definately playing harder. They're earning every call.

THis has been a real ugly, sloppy game both ways, but NJ is working a little harder and Vince Carter is the difference. The shots that Indiana cant hit, he does.

Ian Eagle and Mark Jackson usually do the Nets games on TV.

Anthony Johnson dropped 24, 8 and 5 on Jason Kidd tonight. He totally dominated him.

When Jermaine Oneal comes to play like tonight (37, 15 and 4 blocks) nobody on NJ can stop him.

Indiana has almost a perfect roster to go at the Nets with. They have a big PG to check Kidd, a lot of shooters to break the zone, and a dominant ig man to pound it inside against their weak frontline.

All they really lack is someone to defend Jefferson and Carter, but if NJ cant defend Indiana and Kidd cant penetrate, that almost doesnt matter.

I turned this game on somewhere in the 3rd quarter. Its just weird to watch the forwards struggle to get the ball across the time line so Saras doesn't get the ball taken from him the popcorn guy. What a strange point guard situation.
