Final Playoff Matchups

Western Conference

(1) Detroit vs (8) Edmonton

(2) Dallas vs (7) Colorado

(3) Calgary vs (6) Anaheim

(4) Nashville vs (5) San Jose

SJ was the hottest team during their final 2 week stretch going from missing the playoffs all the way to 5th place in a short span. Anaheim was also hot, while Nashville stumbled in yet still managed 109 points. Detroit remains the Favourite in this conference

Eastern Conference

(1) Ottawa vs (8) Tampa Bay

(2) Carolina vs (7) Montreal

(3) New Jersey vs (6) New York (R)

(4) Buffalo vs (5) Philadelphia

There were 2 points seperating NJ, NYR & PHI for 1st place in the Atlantic Division.......absolutely ridiculous

of course Buffalo was 9 points ahead of 3rd place NJ and rightfully should have home ice if they played NJ but thats the way the F'd up system works

Buffalo looks like the HOT team to beat in the East after that 5-0 drubbing of Carolina last night

Shit...3 years ago that Dallas/ Colorado match up would have been huge. If Jose can get his helmet out of his ass he could still make it a great series.

I still wish Dallas would have drawn Edmonton. Those series have historically been off the charts.

If the wings have trouble with edmonton, then they are true pretenders. also, wings goalies never play as good in playoffs as they do in the regular season. i hope to see that trend end.

Well I don't know if you saw Wings/ Stars last night, but I really hope that those two meet this post season.

I turned it off when it was 2-0 in the third to watch the Pistons and I was pissed. Luckily my roommate tivo'ed the end. Nice comeback.

That's the first time I've ever seen it where they actually acknowledge that a fight's going on on the ice. Usually the whole network just pretends it isn't even happening.

You know, compared to some of the other shit I've seen on that channel....hockey fighting seems a bit tame.
