View Full Version : Lamar Odom/Lakers
Discovery 04-17-2006, 11:38 AM Even though I hate the Lakers I gotta give props to Lamar Odom. This guy is the reason the Lakers are playing well and going to the play-offs. Yeah, Kobe is ripping the league to shreads and will probably win the MVP, but Odom is getting a double-double and is close to a triple double every night. Leads his team in assists, rebounds, and is second in points. I think the Lakers might be one or two roll players away from being back a top the West with. Kobe and Lamar are a duo similar to Jordan/Pippen.
Black Dynamite 04-17-2006, 12:30 PM part of the reason i dont get ther kobe mvp thing. the lakers wins are based on how well lamar has done. W/o him kobe is high scoring on a lottery team. But he's the popular MVP choice here i've seen. though the lakers are 7th in seeding, which is pretty low. I'd be quicker to give it to lebron myself. I'd want it to go to billups, parker, or dirk myself. leading teams to the higher top 5 of this league is a bigger thing to me.
Anthony 04-17-2006, 04:05 PM I love Lmar Odam. He dosnt get enough credit IMO. Sure he has bad nights, but when you have Kobe shooting the ball 40 times a game, its hard to stay in a groove. Odam is a very talented player.

Lamar Odom is an awesome talent, but his defense is so horrible and he's so inconsistent that I want to choke him sometimes. Since Kwame has been in the lineup Odom has stepped up his game like mad. He's one of the most versatile big men ever.

Just more than everyone else in the league. dont hide that part. [smilie=angel.gif]
Anthony 04-17-2006, 06:50 PM Oh, i'm sorry 35 times a game [smilie=annoyed.gif]
Moodini31 04-17-2006, 07:32 PM I've loved Odom ever since the Rhode Island days. I was bitching at the Bulls for taking Brand over him in the draft, I guess I was wrong there, but Odom is still the man. I mean 6'10" with handles, a J, and a post up game? I mean what else is there besides rebouding and defense? [smilie=anxious.gif] He's a decent rebounder though, he's had a few triple doubles in his day. When your nickname is "The Goods", you know you got game. He's definitely underrated.

Parker? He is a great point guard and very much improved, but I still say if anyone on the Spurs would win, it'd be TD, even though hes not what he used to be at the moment.

i think he's still what he used to be. just has been injured. yet even so, i think parker has picked up some serious slack for him this year. Oddly enough he's been their ultimate force in the paint(best in the league).
But i'm giving my vote to billups and going homer all the way.
