most expensive doesnt equal best in the shoes department. But i prefer adidas myself.

Actually, if you go to apple.com, they have some good deals on "refreshed" macs, albeit G4's and G5's. If you go to an Apple Strore, and ask about refreshed Macs, they're bound to have some.

I'd wait until the tower Core Duo's come out. Then, you can nab a fast G5 tower for cheap.


And before Glenn hits us with a "refreshed" misnomer, it's similar to car dealers using "Certified Pre-Owned". The boxes go through a hardware diagnostic, and all software is re-installed -- usually the up-to-the-minute stuff the mac didn't have when it was new. The warranty is renewed, as well.
