View Full Version : Bonds on Bonds (show cancelled) H1Man 04-12-2006, 02:09 AM A very interesing series to say the least. If you guys get a chance, I would recommend you catch an episode or two. JS 04-12-2006, 02:19 AM I heard that it is compelling and not as blantantly about Bonds saying he is a victim. I want to see it, I just always forget. Last week when I went to watch it, the NFL schedule was released and they had a special on instead. BigggChris04 04-13-2006, 10:34 AM Its quite entertaining Moodini31 04-14-2006, 11:42 AM I TiVoed it and watched the second episode. Definitely very interesting. I didn't know his knee was still so screwed up. Apparently it's very painful and is still swelling up after games. I thought he was a jerk and he's a way bigger jerk than I thought. Especially the way he talks to and treats the media. I guess it would get frustrating with cameras and reporters constantly in your face asking whack questions. GreenFuture 5 7 04-19-2006, 06:47 PM i just whatched a episode that my freind taped for me he lost it then found it again cause my VCR is f'ed up it was a pretty good show like Moodini31 said he is a big jerk and a lot more people would have liked him even through the steroids if he was nicer just look at Giambi he is fine after the steroirds. Black Dynamite 04-19-2006, 07:09 PM i just whatched a episode that my freind taped for me he lost it then found it again cause my VCR is f'ed up it was a pretty good show like Moodini31 said he is a big jerk and a lot more people would have liked him even through the steroids if he was nicer just look at Giambi he is fine after the steroirds. he's also white and not in range of record numbers. but its by far not ALL race before anyone thinks i'm saying it is, probally not even the major part. theres an element of him being close to a record that was never seen as breakable that probally gets the big bash wheels rolling. With that said though, the onslaught on him is bullshit if theres none on anybody else. The way its reported, you'd think he was one of a select few that used steroids or one of the last ones left playing that did it. that shit was everywhere. And the number of players using it is probally higher than most are willing to admit to themselves. Yet no pressure for perjury trials on Sosa, palmeiro, and mcgwire. Blah forget baseball, the politics are so backwards it makes the nhl's lockout look sensible. these fucks still dont even have a competitive salary cap. hmmm ok my rant is done. go cubs. Darth Thanatos 05-08-2006, 05:04 PM Did anyone see Barry's homer last night? Philadelphia has pretty spacious seats and the ball hit the wall of the upper deck. I think Bonds on Bonds is one of the best shows on cable TV. For such a great and controversial player like Bonds, his time slot sure is shitty. Glenn 06-05-2006, 08:27 AM From Yahoo/KFFL Jun 4 San Francisco Giants OF Barry Bonds' ESPN reality show "Bonds on Bonds" has been cancelled, with editorial differences between producers and representatives for Bonds cited for calling off the final episode, according to Barry M. Bloom, for SanFrancisco.Giants.MLB.com. A final hour-long episode which was supposed to commemorate Bonds' 715th home run was canned, after having already been delayed, because producers felt there was no time to give the milestone home run the attention it deserved. Bonds was also disappointed that his family and friends were not included in the show as much as he wanted. The show was originally scheduled to air until the July 10-12 Game All-Star break, and Tollin/Robbins, the production company that filmed and produced it, contracted with ESPN Entertainment and Bonds to provide 10 hours of programming. However, only 4 1/2 hours made it on the air. The show was also supposed to return if and when Bonds was coming close to threatening Hank Aaron's MLB home run record, but that appears unlikely now. Varsity 06-05-2006, 10:54 AM The show was fairly interesting, but isn't it just like Bonds to have a show end on disputes between producers and resprenatives... TK 06-07-2006, 08:48 AM I wouldn't be surprised if Giambi got popped for roids again. The guy's still as big as a house. |
