Yao has broken his foot in the first quarter.
Now the Rockets are fucked. T-Mac and Yao are the whole Rockets, both are fucked. Imagine if this happened in the beginning of the season [smilie=anxious.gif]

If it limits Yao's involvement with Team China in the summer, this could be a Chinese curse for the rest of us. Hopefully, he'll be so good that he makes it into the 2nd round of the playoffs without finishing the 1st, just like TMac. :)

Since the AS break, he is averaging 25.7 points, 11.6 rebounds while shooting 53.7% from the floor and 87.8% from the FT line.

They say it's called a Jones fracture. Not completely sure what that entails, but no structural damage. They say Yao's career would end with structural damage.
