Anybody play this much?

I've been playing it a lot lately (finished my college football career/graduated and needed another game to get hooked on), especially with the bracket drama. I really like the game.

I am doing the Dynasty mode with Central (my alma mater). They sucked and are rated a "C" as a team. I went 30-3 in my first year (lost to Miami and Oklahoma in the regular season), losing to MSU in the Sweet 16. After that, something wacky happened. I got invited into the Big 10, and PSU got booted. My prestige went up to 4 stars (from 2), and I got a major recruiting class (23rd overall in the nation).

My team before had one guy rated in the 70's, and the rest sucked. Now the worst starter is a 72, and they are all freshman (except the one decent guy from the year before). What a crazy turn around!

I just use the 1-2-2 defense and full court press them. I've gotten very good at stealing inbounds passes. At any rate I think I will jack up the difficulty (it must be on normal now) next season because it isn't that hard apparently. I had experience playing the NBA game, but it still seems too easy.

I hope you can switch the difficulty in mid-dynasty. Anybody know?

Chris, that sounds super tight man. I hadn't heard too many good things about game, but I'll have to give it a look. You definitely should be able to change the difficulty mid-dynasty. It's an EA game right? You've always been able to do that on EA's games. I always play college football on All-American with the AI bumped up. After a while, I get too good and I move it up to Heisman. Look for the settings menu.

That game has got to be the worst basketball game I have ever played. College Hoops 2K6 is far superior to March Madness. After playing a couple games of CH2K6, go back to March Madness and you will see what i mean.

I play it. I had a 4 year dynasty with MSU. 1 National title(1st year) 2nd year lost in the sweet 16 to Wake Forest, 3rd year was a one seed in the tourney, AND LOST TO COLORADO STATE. That set back my recruiting and everything. 4th season got back on track and went to the final 4 but lost in OT to syracuse(who had the best recruiting class that season.)

I deleted that and probably will start a new one soon.

If that's the case, oh well. I'm not going to buy another game (in fact that was a christmas present a year ago anyway), so I'll just stick to this one. I love it, so I guess that's all that matters. next time I buy a new one though, I'll definately check out the other one. I do like how all the EA games have similar buttons though. I notice that a lot of times when you play a sports game by another manufacturer that it can be hard to get used to the buttons going from usually playing EA games.

Not for me, I can play NCAA MM then go and play NBA 2k6. No problem with the buttons.

cool. that's good they they are similar. If you are a Madden user and you play the 2k whatever football then the buttons are way different and it sucks. good to know.

No they're not. In fact, this years button config on Madden mimicked the NFL 2K5 config. The only difference between them before was the speed burst and the player switch buttons on defense were switched.

It wasnt a mimick. it was a collective mix between the two. Madden hired some of nfl 2k's staff and let them get in on some of the changes for madden. It wasnt to bite off them. It was more or less 2k having some input. it was a smart move to snatch up the staff though. Alot of creative work is gonna be need for 5 systems worth of Maddens games this coming season.

Right, but the only difference between the two before this past year were the two buttons on defense. So, basically, it was generally easy to switch between the two games and jump right into the action.

However, the current gen Madden and the Madden 360 default controller schemes are VASTLY different.

I started a dynasty with Oregon St. Trying to get them back to elite like the Gary Payton days. So far I'm 0-1 on a 1pt loss to appalchain St. but I got a talented squad. I had 38pts including 8'3s with my Sr leader SF #11. He's good.

Though I had to suspend my C for the first 5 games of the season because he wasn't going to class. That bastard.

The controls (and the entire game) of Madden on the 360 were garbage. I mean, you have to press the A button and the analog stick to the right or left to juke? Pitiful. I hated how you had to manually move the cursor on to the selected receiver you wanted to do a hot route. Sucked if you wanted to put more than 1 guy on a hot route. The graphics were great, but overall, the game sucked bad.

well, i played the 2k at a friends house and it was confusing. it had a totally different passing system. at any rate, it doesn't matter. as you said the button configurations are very similar now.
