Auburn Hills, MI - Dale Davis of the Detroit Pistons will host a charity single elimination 8-Ball tournament on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Slapsticks Billiards & Spirits in Clinton Twp. The event titled, “The Dale Davis Foundation & Detroit Pistons All-Star Charity 8-Ball Tournament,” will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The proceeds from this event will be used towards scholarships for Detroit area students. Slapsticks Billiards and Spirits is located at 35691 Gratiot Ave, Clinton Township, MI.

Invited guests include other Pistons players and celebrity notables. The admission fee for the tournament is $30 per participant. There will be a $10 admission charge for all non-participating spectators. Tournament prizes include cash and Pistons game tickets. The Dale Davis Foundation benefits at-risk and economically disadvantaged youth. The foundation provides support throughout the United States and is extremely active in Atlanta & Toccoa, Georgia; Portland, Oregon; Indianapolis, and Detroit. The Dale Davis Foundation routinely supports community events that build opportunities in education, recreation, physical fitness and health related activities. All Dale Davis Foundation funding is provided through fundraising, solicitation and direct contributions from Dale Davis. Dale finances nearly all administrative costs out of pocket, allowing beneficiaries to receive maximum benefit from the contributions of outside donors. The foundation most recently provided 125 Thanksgiving meals to families at the Villages of Parkside Housing Community on Detroit’s east side.
