Press Release - Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced today that forward Jamal Mashburn has been waived; subsequently, Mashburn has announced his retirement from the NBA. The 76ers roster now stands at 13.
“I’ve had a long career in the NBA and have enjoyed my experience,” Mashburn said. “I look forward to retirement life. It doesn’t mean I am not going to stay busy, but it’s time to move on and accomplish some of the other goals that I have set for myself. It’s been a great time. I’ve learned a lot, but now it’s time to move on.”
I think he was a decent forward back in the days with Baron Davis and Soup
