Al Harrington led the Hawks with 23 points and Joe Johnson had 17.
"Obviously, they are the champions again," Harrington said. "I'm a big fan of Detroit, so hopefully they win it again."
wow, i do wonder if Harrington would have been happy coming off the bench here. maybe playing for the lowly Hawks, he's come to value winning over individual accomplishments.

We'll see about that this summer. Joe will no doubt offer him the MLE to replace Dice after next season.

and he'll no doubt say fuck joe when he gets offered a serious contract from another team. this is the same market that gave joe johnson, bobby simmons, michael redd, and larry hughes some serious contracts. i doubt he takes anything less than just over what bobby simmons got atleast IMO. and i think some team could possibly pay him more depending on who signs where.

Except three of the four players you mentioned put up great numbers on good teams. Al Harrington plays on the Hawks and his numbers aren't even that great. I doubt he'll get anything more than the MLE.

If Bobby Simmons can get that kind of money, Harrington will too, IMO.

the clippers were good last year? weird i remember them being a non-playoff team. Al Harrington. I'm sorry man but if bobby simmons can get a big contract then Al harrington for sure can.
I find it funny that people were talking about how badly they want the guy because all the things he can do. Now when the reality of teams paying big money for him comes up, he's nothing more than a MLE second tier reject. I think thats just plain old wishing on some peoples part since half the posters in here have a hard on for the guy.
if he signs for MLE thats all good. but i dont think its likely at all. And this idea that he'd surely replace dyess is is a lil' silly IMO. He's not big enough or good enough defensively to "replace" mcdyess. Maybe at best shoot for a backup to tayshan spot. but we're not dropping Dyess for him. that wouls be unlikely IMO.

I would have liked him as part of a Darko deal.
We could have used him for our title run to split time with Tay at the 3 and he could cover some 4 as well.
We then could have offered him the MLE to stay or we could have flipped him in a S&T for a very good player from another team if he wanted more than that. Then Evans and maybe another player would have to be moved, of course.
I'm hoping that Davidson lets Joe add a backup for Tay with the $3mil that we have left under the luxury tax threshold this summer.

I understand that. as long as you're willing to admit that MLE probally won't cover it in signing him. I still say bobby simmons salary is the target range and that Dyess's contract will not get cut just to get him.

-0% chance he gets less than 10mil avg. Salary structures are different now and unrestricted he's a rare nugget in this years upcoming draft. Wouldn't be suprised to see the Bulls toss him 12+.
