Said a lot of positive things about his time in Detroit, but added: "Larry Brown was NOT going to let me put the ball up like Chauncey Billups."

He does maintain that he respects and admires Larry Brown.

He did speak in a tone that seemed to imply he wanted to go to a team that he'd have more freedom on.

Seems like a guy that genuinely loves playing in Toronto. I'd expect him to re-sign there.

Also, while he said he was "forced" to play defense to get a chance to play on the Pistons, his motto is "the best way to defend a great player is to go at him offensively."

He says the Pistons "are playing chess" with people this season, in that they feign defensive weaknesses, but "at the last second, they close in on you like the red sea."

Apparently, James was reading his metaphor book.....

So maybe we're playing possum right now - yeah that's it. We're using Evans so nobody can scout Carlos "Tenacious D" Delfino. We'll even go six or seven in the first couple of rounds just to keep up the hoax.

Wade and Gino will feel the wrath of Tenacious D!!!!

that little quib about the feigin weakness and it being a chess game is pretty cool. i love hearing about the nuances of the game, like that.

mike james is a guy i'll always be happy for, when he does well.

come playoff time our defense should be fine ( its all about effort and motivation, we know these guys can defend pretty well) and we will allow the fewest points together with SAS, we still play the best defense out there with the Spurs, i'd be suprised if opponent teams average more than 90 points per game in the playoffs against us
