View Full Version : Around the NBA 3/19.......Dallas getting spanked in NJ
Kstat 03-19-2006, 01:41 PM Nets lead 37-16 early in the 2nd qtr.
Also Lakers leading 38-22 in Cleveland. We can clinch the division with a Cavs loss today and a Pistons win tomorrow.
Also, Scottie Pippien just called Kevin Garnett one of the most overrated players in NBA history in the pregame show.....
Joe Asberry 03-19-2006, 01:57 PM Mavs will make a run and win this one, like they ve done at least 10x times this season [smilie=arrgh.jpg] or not? lets hope so
metr0man 03-19-2006, 02:00 PM if NJ can't close this one out they should be shot in the head, all of them.
Kstat 03-19-2006, 02:11 PM Nets lead 53-32 at halftime.
LA leads in Cleveland 63-49 at the same point.
Dallas makes a 2nd Q run, like always - A non-story.
Kstat 03-19-2006, 02:37 PM Dallas makes a 2nd Q run, like always - A non-story.
Um, it's the 3rd qtr. And they're down 17. What are you talking about?

It was a prediction is all. I hope Dallas loses, we could use all the help we can get. Truth is that Dallas has a tough schedule remaining, I still believe it will be us or SA who gets the crown sorta deal.
Kstat 03-19-2006, 03:21 PM Cavs go on a 12-0 run late in the 4th, they take the lead 92-91 with 3 minutes left.
Kstat 03-19-2006, 03:27 PM Dallas goes on a 13-0 run in garbage time to make the score respectable, but they still lose 100-89.
Kstat 03-19-2006, 03:28 PM Kobe quickly erases the cleveland lead.
95-95 1 minute left.
Kstat 03-19-2006, 03:34 PM Still tied, Flip Murry shoots 2 FTs with 3.4 seconds left.
Misses 1st, makes 2nd.
Cavs up 1, Laker ball.
Kobe forces up a horrible 30-footer over 3 cavaliers at the buzzer, Cavs win.
Pistons will have to wait till wednesday at the earliest to clinch the division.
Kstat 03-19-2006, 06:32 PM other final scores today:
Atlanta beat Orlando 108-107 in overtime. Cant imagine they'll have a ton of energy left for tomorrow at the Palace.
Boston went into Indiana and smacked the Pacers around in the 2nd half, 103-88.
Washington beat Chicago 113-104.
The Kings lost in minnesota 95-89, but barely hold on to their #7 spot in the west.
Memphis, in front of a home crowd of 10 or 11 people, knocked off Utah 90-84.
Philly loses in Golden State, behind 7 turnovers by wannabe point-forward John Salmons, 98-89. This drops Philly 2 games out of 7th and still 3 games in front of 9th. Looks like a pretty good bet as a 1st round opponent.
metr0man 03-19-2006, 07:02 PM Indiana's loss and Washington's win pushed Indiana down to the 6th spot.
Which I want, I want them on Miami's side because I don't see the Wizards or NJ or Milwaukee giving Miami any sort of tough battle in the semis.

Yeah, but the Wiz could give up all sorts of troubles in the second round...
Kstat 03-19-2006, 08:43 PM Miami only up by 3 over NY at halftime.
Jerome James has dunked on Mourning twice in the half. He's got 11 so far.
Kstat 03-19-2006, 08:55 PM Scottie Pippen just said that he believes Miami will finish with the best record in the east. He's very bitter his 70-win prediction didnt come true.
Black Dynamite 03-19-2006, 09:17 PM he's not bitter. just hopping on the miami heat bandwagon. so is alot of critics. they always wanted to. they were just waiting for the oppurtunity.. Miami is the maurice evans to their Flip and we are the Delfino. we have to play twice as good as them to get the same respect.
but i will say that all these close games is getting the heat battle tested for the playoffs.
Anthony 03-19-2006, 09:29 PM I knew us struggling was good for something. The more assholes to jump off the better.
I doubt we're going to lose eight more games this year sorta deal. And Miami isn't going to run the table either. I could see it getting within five though...

i doubt they get that close. but who knows. these games between us and them will have a serious playoff atmosphere. How we perform in them will be interesting.
metr0man 03-19-2006, 10:00 PM If we keep playing the way we've been playing, I dont know they might have a shot to make a run at the record. Wednesday's Miami-Detroit game is really important there, a win for them really puts a swing on the chase.
I really hope we have a fire for the Miami game. I'm gonna vomit if we lose to them again.
Wednesday's game will be a two game swing - either within seven or within nine sorta deal...

i dont see miami coming close to beating us. but we have a tendency to beat the shit out of ourselves sometimes. [smilie=arrgh.jpg]
