Dear WTFDetroit members,
We regret to inform you about the banning of "UncleCliffy" and "Mikey" from WTFDetroit.
While we are not going to get into the specific details that lead to this action, we will tell you that it involved a breach of private member information that is collected/maintained by WTFDetroit.
To the best of our knowledge at this time, only the private information of a single poster has been compromised, but if more occurances come to light, a Syndicate member will contact you immediately and you can be assured that we will persue the legal prosecution of all offenders to the full extent of the law.
The privacy of our members is very important to us, so please feel confident that we will do whatever it takes to prevent the collection or use of any private information that is provided here during the registration or posting process. That includes not only malicious use such as this, but also commercial or any other non-WTF approved communicative use.
While the departure of two long-time acquaintences is unfortunate, please understand that we just cannot give second chances in cases such as this.
In light of these events, we have announced a new privacy policy so that there can be no misunderstanding how serious we are about protecting our members and their privacy.
The new policy can be viewed here: http://www.wtfdetroit.com/viewtopic.php?t=1614
Thank you for being valuable contributors at WTFDetroit.com.
