If you watch it again, Trebeck was so happy to say "No!" to Ken Jennings after the answer. That man owned Trebeck for almost a full season.

If you think about it, Ken paid $400 to drop that joke. He got $200 decucted from his total, and he would have gotten the question right if he wasn't trying to be funny, adding an extra $200 to his total. That's an expensive price for a series of "whoa's" from Trebeck and basically being made fun of for being Mormon right after that.
