He said on ESPN: "Since Flip Saunders only played me 9 minutes in the all-star game, I want to go 7 games with him."

Arenas actually backs up his shit-talking, but it's too bad the rest of his team will lack the motivation.

That's four teams that want us now - two players, Jermaine O'Neal and Gilbert Arenas, along with Chicago and Cleveland fans who think they can bump us off.

Truth be told I'd rather not have to play Washington in the play-offs. We seem to try and beat our opponents at their own game and Washington is a run and gun team and I don't think that plays to our strengths.

I like Arenas, and don't hate on the kid for using whatever motivation he needs. Our guys used snubs, real or percieved, for the last few years now to get them motivated.

Is Gilbert forgetting that he wasn't even suppose to be there in the first place? He got in just because of Jermaine's injury. How many minutes did he expect to play? He was behind Iverson and Billups. He is one of the most arrogent players in the league.

in a related note. iverson is pissed at his wife for spending 15 more minutes with the kids than with him. he also wants to seven games with her. David stern is trying to work something out to get her on whatever playoff teams roster faces the sixers in the first round.

same could possibly be said for arenas when all his ballhogging huffing and puffing is done. outside of chucky atkins hitting the chucker zone, washington didn't bother me all that much. but we'll get a better answer when we play them in washington maybe.

Cant hate Arenas for that. I think he is a great guard in the league. He just needs to get his assists up and play some nice team defense. Speaking of team, he needs to get his team motivated. Outside of Jamison Arenas and butler, no one really shows up

I agree.

And it seems more humorous than serious like people are reading it. Arenas has game to prove otherwise from his current all-star snubs, to his draft pick (31st I think).

At least he didn't ask for a boxing match or something.

sure did, right on beat (stoney and wojo today).

pretty damn funny too.

he actually then justified it, mentioning that arenas was a replacement, and other players didnt play that much either (rip & 12 min was the first guy he mentioned).
