Miami came from 17 down to beat Atlanta Saturday night. It could happen again.

They should't have won that game.

Shaq should've been called for an offensive foul on the 3-point play resulting in him fouling out. But as we all know, that never happes.

Kstat

Um, Shaq fouled out 30 seconds after that play.

BTW 11 seconds left, tie game, charlotte ball.

Fuck.

I was hoping that both Miami and Phoenix would lose but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.

We're lucky Snaq missed the first third of the season or else we'd be in a dog fight with Miami for the top seed.

Thanks again Artest.

Heat luck out again, 106-105.

Felton misses the game-tying FT and Miami throws up some junk, gets the loose rebound, and runs out the final 6 seconds of the clock.

FOr the 2nd straight game, Miami's only lead is their final score.

Well I can take solace in the fact that Shaq had to play 41 minutes to beat the Bobcats without Okafor and May.

Kstat
03-06-2006, 10:30 PM
yeah but I doubt Miami cares that they should have lost to both atlanta and charlotte, since they made miracle comebacks to beat both.

What's the word on Nash?

How long will he be out (if at all)?

The Spurs are beating the Lakers taking the EXACT SAME SHOTS we took.

I dont see them forcing the fucking ball into the paint, and they have tiem fuckign duncan.

They've taken at least 7 threes tonight with at least 15 seconds on the shot clock. First-look shots.

Damn, the Spurs really need to dump their team. They take waaaaay too many outside shots. Greg Poppvich should be fired. No team should ever take that many threes in a game.

Spurs are just a bunch of chuckers. They'll never make it back to the finals.

Spurs went on a crazy ass 18-4 run to start the 3rd. Fuck them. :(

Kstat

They also let the Lakers out-rebound them 39-30. What a "soft" team.

We must be seeing two different games then.

The way I see it, they are playing an inside-out game. Between Duncan, Parker, Rasho and Nazr (and Manu to a lesser extent) have been active in the paint and forced the porous LA defense to collapse.

We, on the other hand, never even looked to pass the ball into the post.

I know. Rebounds are a great way to judge the toughness of a team.

Kstat

An open three is an open three. Same shot.

What, its ok for THEM to take so many threes early in the clock but not us?

Our shots were wide-open, so were theirs. Because their shots went in and our didn't, all of a sudden it's ok.

Because we have no great post players.

Not true! was have the 230-lb beast known as Rasheed Wallace! He should be able to back people into the paint all the time! How dare he not get physically beaten up going against big men 30 lbs bigger every game!

Reading shaq's book on what a post player is still? [smilie=arnold.gif]

Honestly how long are you gonna run that flawed angle?

Your other arguments are legitimate opinion. But it seems you are trying to change the definition of a quality post player.

Fine. Find me ONE 230-lb PF in the NBA that dominates in the post and has NO ballhandling skills.

Just one. SHouldn't be that hard, right?

Fuck that. How on fucking earth do you make the rules on whether they can have ballhandling skills? Thats part of what im saying. Its alot of things. Not how far you can back someone down. Sheed's wingspan and height make his shots close to unblockable in the post. His agility makes up for whatever he lacks in weight(for the record i question whoever weighed him at 230 and what timetable of the season/preseason they registered that wait in). I'm sorry but sheed isnt only 15 pounds heavier that Tayshaun while being 2 inches taller. That would damn near make him as skinny as Tay, which he is not. He's atleast 240+-250.

Out on the blocks there arent many better than him. And the best post players in the league outside of shaq almost all have some level of solid ballhandling. Unless you are only counting wing player level ballhandling as Ballhandling. If so i guess the other two have no ballhandling also.

As far as his weight class "IMO", Elton brand and jermaine oneal both are about equal to sheed in ballhandling in the post(which is not completely "no ballhandling" whatsoever IMO).

But if you're still stuck on 230(which i dont agree with) I'll also add Chris bosh and also charlie Villanueva to the list. [smilie=2thumbsup.g:

You fail to mention how exactly does Sheed GET good post position, when most big men can deny him that whenever they want.

I've seen time and time again, SHeed try to get good low post position, and Cris Mihm or Greg Ostertag or whoever pushes him out to the parking lot.

There are only two ways big men scor in the paint:

1. Strength- Sheed doesnt have it

2. Off the dribble- Sheed doesnt have that either.

When Sheed is fortunate enough to get position sure, he's all-world. But that almost never happens consistently.

yeah that was NICE. just to have the balls to go up to try and block a Shaq dunk is crazy.....then consider he's a 2/3.

LOL...Weird last i checked he's been "fortunate" almost every time he "decides" to go in the post. Your Super heavyweight Lakers front line had no effect on his post game when he "chose" to go down on the blocks.

Jermaine oneal is listed at 260 and he seems unable to throw his "supposed" 30 pound weight advantage on sheed. Danny granger is listed at 228 and and he couldnt come close to slowing sheed down in the post. Antoine walker is listed at 245 so sheed shouldnt have such an easy time post him right?

I dont know Kstat, but it seems you read that faulty weight listing and now you're just trynna back it up with something that isnt true. Sheed is no more fortunate than kg and anyone else with solid post game. By your way of thinking, sheed shouldnt never score in the post being that on average a PF is listed at 245 or higher. Yet he can and does a majority of the time he's there. Maybe we're watching different pistons teams, because i've never seen sheed get forced out of the post by anything more than his own freedom choice to shoot from the perimeter.

I meran what was he doing last year shooting approximately 200 three pointers out of over a 1,000 attempts. shooting 800 jumpers just inside the arc? [smilie=arnold.gif]
