I'll see what I can dig up...

K, that wasn't too hard - http://www.insidehoops.com/free-agents.shtml

Updated Feb. 19, 2006
NBA free agents list of the best currently available players. Most of the players we list have at least some NBA experience. We'll update this list once in a while. The NBA free agents are loosely ranked in order with the best at the top, but by no means is the order exact, because different players, even those at the same position, can fill different needs for different teams.

POINT GUARDS
Howard Eisley, Will Bynum, Jay Williams, Tierre Brown, Andre Barrett, Anthony Goldwire, Kareem Reid, Troy Bell, Robert Pack, Tito Maddox, Kenny Anderson, Rod Strickland, Horace Jenkins, Yuta Tabuse, Alex Garcia, Chris Thomas, Jamison Brewer, Frank Williams, Erick Strickland, Chris Herren, Charles Jones

SHOOTING GUARDS
Latrell Sprewell, Willie Green, Dajuan Wagner, Doug Christie, Rodney Buford, Kendall Gill, Kerry Kittles, Ron Mercer, Felipe Lopez, Matt Walsh, Wesley Person, Dion Glover, Fred Hoiberg, Laron Profit, Kennedy Winston, Lucious Harris, Anthony Peeler, Corey Benjamin, Jimmie Hunter, Andre Emmett, Geno Carlisle

And though I know we don't need anybody to fill the position, I still think Marcus Fizer is an NBA player.

"...The waiver wire should pick up as teams discard players they held with hopes of deadline trading, and there's a chance the Pistons could find a point guard among that group -- or in the minor leagues. Dumars said he's looking for an experienced guard (either a point or combo guy) who can step in and handle the pressure of playing with the Pistons.

"We like guys here who can shoot the ball, too," Dumars said.

If they don't find someone, they won't lose much sleep plugging in Lindsey Hunter, Carlos Delfino and even rookie Alex Acker in the spare 15 minutes."
-From Todays Freep

Joe is looking for a veteran who won't screw thiings up it seems. Sprewell is out of the equation because he sorta mocked picking up Spree when a radio host brought it up in an interview. Willie Green would be a killer fit, but he isn't going to come here for scrub minutes, he'll go where he can get minutes and prove himself healthy(or to Philly), I'd still give him a call though. Wagner's a chucker extraordinaire, but a bad fit. Kittles and Mercer haven't played all year, and that was one knock Dumars had on Spree.

Will Bynum is tearing up the D-Leagues, but he isn't the wily vet Dumars seems to be targeting. Jay Williams, sad to say, probably isn't an option we're even remotely considering. Eisley isn't much of a shooter, but is solid enough. Tierre Brown might be a possibility - he's been around you know.

outside of jay williams. not much there. frank williams doesnt really fit the new system either.

Only other guy even getting partial interest is Willie Green. depending on how much he wants and whether he maintains loyalty to Philly.

This is why this option is so unappealing, and why many of us are upset with recent events.

When the mob doesn't like garbage, and you trade garbage for different garbage, the mob doesn't feel appeased.

[smilie=applause.gi: I cant even give a response to equal that. The Mob wins this round.

LMAO @ Horace Jenkins. FWIW, Troy Bell is someone that intrigues me. I'm sure everyone is aware that he ranks 21st all-time in career points in college with 2,632, hitting 300 triples in 4 years. That certainly qualifies as someone who can shoot. His skills as a PG aren't anything to write home about, but he's a scoring contrast to Hunter.

Troy never got a decent shotin the NBA and he would be intreguing, however Dumars seems to want a wily veteran who in the very least will not hurt us during his time on the floor.

Was Bell hurt last season?? He didn't play last season or this season? Is he in the D-Leagues or overseas somewhere??
