Cavs acquire scoring guard 'Flip' Murray from Sonics
ESPN.com news services
The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired Ronald 'Flip' Murray from the Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for little-used guard Mike Wilks, a second-round pick and $500,000, ESPN.com has learned.
NBA front-office sources say the deal, which is awaiting league approval, is expected to be announced later Thursday.

Flip tore it up during that brief stint a year or so ago...hopefully he doesn't do it again.
the wrath of diddy 02-23-2006, 05:27 PM Davidson is too fucking cheap to shell out $500K to get Murray.

Cavaliers acquire Nailon, pick from Sixers
Associated Press
PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers traded disappointing forward Lee Nailon and a second-round pick in the 2006 draft to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday for a conditional second-round pick.
Nailon signed with the Sixers in the offseason and was expected to provide an offensive boost off the bench after averaging a career-high 14.2 points last season with the New Orleans Hornets. Instead, Nailon hasn't played since the end of last month after he was arrested following a domestic dispute.
Nailon, 30, played in 22 games this season, averaging 4.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per game. His best game was against the Los Angeles Clippers in November, when he had a season-high 21 points and six rebounds.
Nailon played briefly for the Cavaliers in 2003-04, averaging 7.7 points in 22 games. He's played with six NBA teams in a six-year career.
Cross 02-24-2006, 04:03 AM Nailon wasnt too bad for the Hornets IMO. He put up 15 points a game? This will give LeBron some rest or something, but nothing big here.
MOLA1 02-24-2006, 08:48 AM He's a purple horned frog though. That has to be a bad thing right?

damn he fell off. nevermind him.

The shooting part of that, at least, sounds like Lindsey, who hasn't shot over 40% in 7 years. Lindsey is a career 39% FG shooter.
The PG in Flip's offense needs to be able to shoot, right?
lmcpherson 02-24-2006, 11:11 AM The starting point guard does :)
I can see being pissed about the Pistons not picking someone up to replace Arroyo, but not Flip Murray. He had a decent run in 03-04 in the beginning of the season until teams figured him out, then he cooled off and hasn't regained whatever touch he had since.
