I'm going to be getting a 360 soon (as soon as I find one in stores--I hear they're becoming easier to find).

I was talking to MOLA about maybe creating a whole forum dedicated to video games. Here's the PM I sent him.


What up MOLA? I was daydreaming in church today and I had an idea. I know of a lot of people on here who are video game freaks (I'm probably #1). I know we have the off-topic forum, but It's kind of tough to get a solid video game thread going with all of the "racism" and "post here when you're drunk" threads going on.

I was thinking under "Other Forums" we could create one solely dedicated to video games. We could have new school threads discussing the Xbox 360 and the PS3, current gen discussions about the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube, old school talk about Nintendo, Genesis, 64, Dreamcast, Atari, etc. We could also make game recommendations, walkthroughs, FAQs, reviews, plus threads dedicated to gamertags and usernames so we all could hook up for some online action.

He said it would be a good idea and he would talk it over with The Syndicate. What do you guys think? Would you be on board and be active? I think it would be amazing. [smilie=2thumbsup.g:

BTW, I'm offically an Xbox 360 addict. I've been playing Project Gotham Racing (mostly online), NBA 2K6, and I downloaded Bankshot Billiards 2 and I've been playing that too. I played a french-canadian guy the other night who could barely speak a lick of English. Question-if you cannot speak English, why are you playing games online with the headset on? [smilie=huh.gif] If you guys don't have a 360, you MUST get one ASAP. I love technology as much as Kip, and the 360 is the best piece I have seen. You won't believe all the things it can do. NBA 2k6 is a fun game. I have been playing that alot. I havent played any of the other sports 2006 games. If you want fun, play Halo all day. I had GTA, shit was fun. Right now, im addicted to counter strike

Anyway, I own a 360, but I've payed it 20 times. I prefer to play my nintendo emulator or a couple strategy games on my PC like 'Rise of Nations". That and I do real shit now like work and entertain the wife.

Anyone ever play any of the timesplitters games? I really think that is the most underrated videogame series thats on the market right now. Those games are so addicting.

I played TimeSplitters2 a little after the launch of the PS2. I feel you Anthony. I'm not even a FPS guy, but I felt the game big time. I haven't played any other TS game since, but when I did, it was tight.

Time Splitters 3 is good. The missions are still very easy, but multi player is a freeking blast and a half.

Arch Rivals! Straight up arcade basketball where you could actually punch your opponents, pull down their shorts and steal the ball, and I believe it was the first game to allow you to break the glass on a dunk. Mohawk was my boy!

Base Wars! This is one of the biggest sleeper games of all time. i don't know of anyone else who has ever played it besides my buddies and I, but it is flat out great. It's like regular baseball, but with robots and when there is a play at a base, it becomes a fight! [smilie=ownagebox.g: If the fielder wins the fight, the runner is out, but if the runner wins, he is safe. Each type of robot has a special attack for the duel. As you can see from the pic, the one dude has a sword-type thing and the other is like a tank. Frickin' tight! [smilie=yourock.gif]

Phenomenal. I've played a lot of games in my days, and none come near to Resident Evil 4. The game starts out like a dream and only gets (much) better as the game goes on. Excellent graphics, tight controls, eerie music, spot on sound effects, and it's a frickin' blast to play. Buy it now. It's also now available on the PS2 with a few upgrades.

Aww man! Heck yeah! This game is going to be unbelievable. You do not play a character in any of the movies, you're kind of creating your own story. I guess you start out as a low level "hood" in the Corleone family, and you have to work your way up. Eventually you can become the Don! [smilie=yourock.gif] Frickin' great!

Supposedly the PS3 is more powerful than the Xbox 360, but I tell you what, I don't see how anything can be better than the 360. It's everything you've ever dreamed of in a video game system plus a ton of amazing things you've never dreamed of.

Supposedly the PS3 is more powerful than the Xbox 360, but I tell you what, I don't see how anything can be better than the 360. It's everything you've ever dreamed of in a video game system plus a ton of amazing things you've never dreamed of.
PS3 does theoretically have a faster processor than the 360. But since the Cell processor is a totally different platform and is a complex architecture, it is going to be very hard for developers to create games for the PS3 when it comes out. And since the architecture is so different, developer costs are going to increase, which will result in increased game prices.

So we won't see any games take full use of the PS3's capabilities for a long, long time unless Sony is willing to lose money with each PS3 sold (sort of like what MS did with XBox).

And I am not totally sold on the PS3 processor being THAT much more faster than the 360.

I am not going to buy any of those until im heavily persuaded. I have a PSP, Xbox, Ps2. Im going to wait for the next next generation. Xbox 720? PS4?

But I can't figure out why I cannot switch my plays that are available. You can select a different school's playbook, but you cannot select different plays to put in your playbook. I want to use the HC trap defense some, but you can only call that out of a time out. It's stupid. They don't call a time out until they are down with very little time left, so it's useless. And none of the teams' playbooks have the HC trap in it.

Do you know a way to alter the playbook? You can in Madden.

BTW, I love how I managed to land two six star 7 foot recruits and a couple more 5 star recruits and the alumni is bitching at me about not recruiting enough. lol.

resident evil 4 was bad ass. i hadnt played a RE game since the original on play station, with my buddies.

this one didnt have any puzzles like the first one, but scared me more than i expected. cool game.

I just picked up a greatest hits game on psp with arch rivals full arcade on it along with Mortal Kombat 1,2, and 3. Its off the hook. second most disc game on my psp after GTA:Liberty City Stories. all the throwbacks on here

Neitzel traped them into Ager or Brown and one of them trapped the passing lane and got the steal every time. And that started the break.

Fight Night Round 3 is the best looking video game ever created (if you have an HDTV). It's seamless gameplay will make you think you are watching a fight on TV (but better looking) and it just doesn't feel right that you are playing it because it looks too good. The controls are sweet (analog fighting is outstanding!) and it is a lot of fun to play (even when B-Hop is kicking the living crap out of you.) I may have to pick this one up.

Yeah, you definitely need a 360. It's gay that everyone who wants one, can't get one. Microsoft did an amazing job on their system but completely jicked up the launch.

Fight Night Round 3 is already out. I think it came out on Valentine's Day.

The xbox is still hard to get? Wow. They must have made like 2 consoles. Right now I have a modded xbox and just download all the games and upload them to my 120 gig hd I installed on it. Ps2 is garbage compared to xbox both graphics wise and loading wise.

Only thing i'll add is that the Blu Ray dwarfs the hd discs IMO. Just bought NBA Live '06 for $20. Biggest waste of money. I had 2K5 and that is a far better game that Live '06 is. The graphics on the game suck, the actual game play feels more like NBA Jam than the actual NBA. EA dropped the ball on this one.

I was never down with dsl because I had to log in each time, poor service, downtime etc.. My internet rarely if ever goes down and I never experience any slow-downs. I just can't sacrifice $20 a month for piss poor performance/down time. Maybe they improved? who knows.

You stay in a fucked area. my shit has never gone bad. Except the time i had a faulty cable on my modem. Otherwise its been the most consistent and solid service ever related to SBC IMO.

In other news, I was able to pick up the 360 this afternoon. I need to buy a couple of games now. I'm thinking Call of Cuty 2 and FNR3.
