The thing that strikes me odd is that the cartoon said they are all terrorists and their solution is to make terrorist threats. I figured they would have more sense then that. I understand their religion looks favorably upon fighting a jihad, however everything has to be done intelligently in any battle. They might as well be running into an opponent's closed fist.

ppps i believe the news paper was making some sort of calculated freedom of speach deal. i'd say thats fairly dispicable, and that this isnt so much a freedom of speach situation as a religious tolerance case.

pppps its fairly foolish to compare the reactions of the middle easterners/islam to the west/christians. i would say ~95% of america is fairly loose about their faith, and we live in a very secular society. the same might not be true of other cultures. we all knew this. sometimes you do have to hold different groups to different standards.
