View Full Version : LOL @ Me
Anthony 01-31-2006, 10:29 PM LOL @ Me. Going into my last school year, I knew I was down a half credit, and I knew I couldnt fail any classes at all. Well, LOL @ Me. I passes all but one class. And that one "F" really fucking blows monkey nuts the size of over inflated dodge balls. Now, I have to take 2 extra classes at a very ghetto ass place called Riverside to recover 2 half credits that I missed over the years. What the fuck is wrong with me? Why cant I just fucking pass my classes and make things easy on my self! WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!? I could have made this year easy on my self If I didnt fuck around, but noooooooo, I had to be too busy doing nothing. I couldnt even manage a D in 2 very important classes last year, so I could fuck around this year. Nooooooooo, I was too busy doing nothing.
I dont wanna be at this place. Its all fucking wiggers, crack whors, emo kids, and other varieties of both white and black trash. How the fuck am I supposed to get my fucking credit while sitting next to someone who's itchin & shit cuz he cant get his crack fix till after 9:45?
I already fucking passed every gen elective thats easy to deal with. Now I have to fucking sit in an art class and do fucking projects and shit. I cant even fucking draw worth a shit. How the fuck was this the only other elective they offered besides computers? How? What the fuck is wrong with this place?
They only offered two English courses to me. One was nothing but writing reports, and the other involved more reading than writing. So I choose that one. Come to find out that at the end of every day, I gotta hand in full reports to the teacher who dosnt even teach. He just makes sure you come and gives you your book and paper.
Urgh. I'm just so fucking pissed, and I figured if PFN gets to post his stories, why not me. God I fucking hat this. FUCK! [smilie=angryfire.g:

SKelly 01-31-2006, 10:37 PM Have you ever thought about sexual interactions with your teachers? It's a sure-fire A. Just go up behind he or she and start with a little ear massage, that always sets the mood. Work your hands down to the shoulders and neck area. While doing this, really start to grind your junk into their back. Once you feel it is necessary, glide the hands down to the breast area. Squeeze and release, squeeze and release. Start kissing the teacher on the neck, whispering out your self phone number. Once the bell rings, run out, turn your self phone on, wait for the call, set a date, have some fun. And if you get bored with that teacher, you can just sue for millions and be financially secure for the rest of your life.
Anthony 01-31-2006, 10:37 PM I dont have a damn clue as to what you're talking about, gutz.
And BTW, I hope no1 takes this as me feeling sorry for my self. Fuck that. I put my own self into this, and I relize that. I'm just venting fustration.

Well it's obviously not copying off your brother's old work. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
SKelly 01-31-2006, 11:34 PM Well I was just looking at some past threads here that I missed and saw that PNF already had a thread about student to teacher sexual relations. I did not realize this when I posted my message, and no I am not trying to steal PNF's thunder, nor his niche. I would edit it out of there but Mikey and Anthony already quoted it. My apologies to PNF. I think this puts me back on thin ice.

It does, but that's no problem.
And it's all right, Anthony. Just remember that you HAVE to pull through. You can't kid yourself like you've been doing in high school. Then, once you get the fuck outta there, you can step back, breathe, and figure out a path from there.
And thanks to you and Gutz for mentioning me.
You're fine, Anthony. Just keep at it. [smilie=angel.gif]

I knew what you meant initially. It's just the fact that you're basing someone's intelligence by how well they did in high school. That's pretty lame.
Glenn 02-01-2006, 02:37 PM Just as you are basing someone's intelligence (actually to put it in your terms, "retardation") on the fact that they have some basketball teams that they hate.
Talk about lame.
If you don't see the irony of somebody that didn't finish high school on time calling people "retarded" for something as minor as that, then I completely understand how you found yourself in the position that you found yourself in.

WTFchris 02-01-2006, 03:03 PM Lol @ people who have to take classes in their final semester.
I took the max credits every semester in high school (i think that was 6 one hour classes), and I only had to take one class in my final semester. And an elective at that. I took a stupid class just to get my half credit and it was a breeze. I also took some classes at the community college, but that wasn't required.
If you pass your classes all thru highschool, you should be able to coast your final semester (if you want to). Maybe that has changed since then, I don't know.

Its a little harder to pass classes for some.
GotCrotty? 02-01-2006, 03:08 PM Ehh, you are more like me Anthony.
I just never really gave a fuck in high school, you grow out of it when you realize its time to step up and do whats asked of you, because your parents won't keep paying your bills and such.
WTFchris 02-01-2006, 03:26 PM I didn't care in high school either. I just did my work and went to class. I suppose I cared because I didn't cut class, did my homework and all, but I didn't bust my butt. I just did what was expected, that's all. I guess some things come easier to other's. But I would guess that anybody can pass every class as long as they try (assuming they are not mentally challeged in some way). The people who fail usually didn't do what was asked of them. And I'm talking about passing, not excelling.
High school really isn't that challenging unless you are taking honors courses, or making it challenging to yourself (skipping, not doing homework, not paying attention, etc). Our school system is acutally very weak compared to foreign ones. Kids in Amsterdam know twice what we do in the same age/grade level because their cirriculum is harder.
Glenn 02-01-2006, 03:37 PM I had a strange high school career.
The first two years I cared and gave my all, the second two years I found girls and beer.
GPAs:
Freshman: 3.7
Sophomore: 3.7
Junior: 2.3
Senior: 2.0
I didn't do a single bit of homework my senior year, since I knew that I was going to a community college for the first two years anyway. I always told myself "I'll start trying again when I start paying for it".
Luckily, I had no problem turning it back on again for college, since the money was on the line. I think I ended up with a 3.5 or so in college after I transferred to MSU and got my degree.
You'll do fine Anthony, just apply yourself as best as you can, get your two credits and move on to tech school or whatever you want to do next.
Hell, Bush said that everything is peachy keen in the ole' USA right now last night, sounds like a great time to enlist in the Army!

I've got all my math, science, english and social studies credits finished. Next year it's all blow-off business and computer classes for me. I need to maintain a 2.7 to get into Wayne though, and right now I have a 2.5. Should be easy to bring it up.

Artis Gilmore 02-01-2006, 04:25 PM You guys are fucking lucky, now we have to take more classes to get a diploma starting with next years freshman class. It's like from 10 to 17 credits. Fuck that.

UncleCliffy graduated college at 9 years old and then became a doctor at 11. You may have heard about Doogie Howser? That was me.

Huh? We had to have 21 credits to graduate high school.
.5 credit per class/semester.
6 classes/semester for 3 years = 18 credits.
first semester senior year = 3 credits
I had my 21 there. Only reason I took another class was to be dual enrolled at have my highschool pay for college.
You only had to take 10.5 semester hours a year to get the 21. That's not that hard really. That allows you to fail 3 semester long classes (or one year long and a semester long class) EVERY YEAR. That's plenty of lee way IMO.
The problem is some people would not take a full 6 classes every semester and then they didn't have any room for error.
Mikey 02-01-2006, 05:19 PM I think what Steve is trying to get at is they changed the amount of credits you need for certain classes. For me and Anthony, we need 3 credits of social studies, 3 credits of English, 2 for math and 2 for science.
Now they're requiring kids to get 4 credits in Math, English, science, and social studies. I personally think that's fucked up. Their reasoning is that it will give us more doctors and engineers and shit like that, but I think by the time someone's a sophomore in High School, they likely have some idea about what they're going to do in the future. You can't force shit down people's throats and hope they'll accept it.

We need 22. Dumbass.
Vinny 02-01-2006, 05:29 PM Get out of here. I can't believe they haven't made this a requirement before now. Most people really don't figure out what they want to do until their early/mid twenties, if even then.
We need to provide this base in the fundamental, core subjects now, and then let people learn their more elective subjects as they move on to college, trade school, work experience, etc..
I'm by no means saying to get rid of the arts and music and the like, but even with these new standards there should be still 2 electives a year for people to pursue things like these.

Chances are you'll have to take all those classes you missed in college just to catch up. By going as far in Math and Science you are saving yourself time and money.

Chances are you'll have to take all those classes you missed in college just to catch up. By going as far in Math and Science you are saving yourself time and money. So if you get 4 credits for the academic courses in high school, you wouldn't have to take them in college? I heard that they still force you to take certain classes in college even if you already passed it in high school. I'm not completely sure though.
Vinny 02-01-2006, 06:29 PM If you haven't taken them in High School, you'll have to take the remedial versions in college before you can take the real college level classes. Depending on your major, this may mean extra classes in your major that could be spent on electives/more interesting classes.
Glenn 02-01-2006, 06:41 PM The only classes that used to qualify for college credits when I was in school were AP (advanced placement) classes.
Not sure if that still holds true, though.
UncleCliffy 02-01-2006, 07:39 PM Yeah I believe AP only qualifies. The thing is that you have to take a placement exam before entering and this is how science/math/english are determined. So if you only take 2 years of math, chances are you are going to have to make it up and those credits won't even count towards your degree. I know I had to take a couple. Chemistry and Physics... Sucks that you waste money and time for a class that doesn't count. I can tell you right now that Anthony would be fucked with English and Mikey would be fucked with Math/Science.
Anthony 02-01-2006, 11:08 PM I'm scared for my life out there....

Yep AP classes are the only ones that will give you credit. As far as not taking certain classes it WILL fuck you over. My ex took some remedial math her final semester of HS just as a blowoff, and when she got into college they made her take a placement test to see if she was smart enough to take college level math. She failed cause the test covered such a large range of material, and was forced to take prereq classes that gave her no credit...(costed the same as a reg class). So yea it sucks. Bottom line....dont fuck around too much cause itll getcha.
I feel you, Anthony.
Just finish. Handle your business and you'll be fine.
One of my better friends is 1 year out of high school, but he hasn't finished yet. He just stopped going his last year of high school, and still needs a few classes to finish. He finally got his first stable job only reccently, but nevertheless his parents would've loved to see him walk at graduation with all his other classmates.
I did fine in high school, and just had senioritis starting in my junior year. Never failed a class, just did the absolute minimum to get by. Handled my business, and fucked the shit out of my now ex-girl. [smilie=angel.gif]
Highschool is the easiest fucking time in your life. If you are failing now you better get your shit together or get used to the idea of cleaning other peoples crap off the floor.
The only reason any of your failed, or are failing enough classes to matter is because you're fucking lazy. If you can't pass classes where teachers sit and watch you work, remind you that shit is due, and basically change your diapers in the middle of class, then you don't deserve the chance to pay for a higher education.
Now they're requiring kids to get 4 credits in Math, English, science, and social studies. I personally think that's fucked up.
They should require double that. Don't give me this, "I need time for getting laid, sports, parties, fun." You can do all that shit, double your class load, and still have time for a part time job. Don't believe me? Go ask one of your less than privileged friends who actually has to work to pay for college (and a real college not some Modanna Univeristy Hair Salon shit).
Wake up assholes. Quit pissing away your talents and abilities on fansites and message boards making comments about TK's receding hair line and creating sigs for PNF's mayonnaise fetishes, and go get some easy, lame-ass, boring but still necessary, school work done.
Pharaoh 02-02-2006, 08:56 AM I failed high school.
I was a great student in the earlier years when we lived in Sydney but when the parents broke up we moved to a shitty little town (Bundaberg)
I didn't know anyone and because I was a huge motherfucker I skipped a grade and was put with older kids. I did fairly well the first year before "falling" in with the wrong crowd.
I spent the next 4 or 5 years of life doing dope, drinking beer and fucking any girl I could.
It wasn't long until I moved away from that and went to Brisbane looking for work. After 6 months in a steel factory I got a job at a supermarket.
Stayed in Brisbane for 4 years doing that shitty job and playing ball before I moved home to Bundaberg because my Mom was sick.
Still worked at the supermarket though and when they wouldn't promote me and pay me more I quit. Stupid me went and got another supermarket job and 6 months later my fiance and I left town for Cairns.
Still worked at the supermarket and met a guy who was tight with a guy that worked for the Cairns Taipans.
We went to a game and my friend from work introduced me. During the next week I met with the marketing director and 2 weeks later was hired.
So, long story short:
High school doesn't mean shit.
WTFchris 02-02-2006, 09:14 AM When I said High School is a breeze, I meant US high school. I think every country's school system is different.
High School isn't the end all be all. But the point is that if you fuck around in high school, you'll have to bust your ass that much more to catch back up. It's do-able, but not ideal.
Props to you for turning it around.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you didn't work hard or that I'm not happy for you, but having a HS diploma and that alone will not even get your resume past the receptionist that opens the mail at most places.

I agree. The shit starts to hit the fan after high school. I did shitty in HS (specifically Sophomore/Junior year) but got my act together in college and i'm in the engineering honor society and all that good shit. High school is way too easy now that I look back on it. For you kids out there, in college most of the classes are leaned heavily on exams. About 80-100% of your final grade is determined on tests. They don't grade attendance or homework in a lot of classes. You only hurting yourself in high school by taking "blow off classes". Take some shit that will make you think.

And AG - get your shit together quick. You're a talented dude with computers and I imagine you need some college shit to do that for a living.
Don't coast through life - you'll end up doing a job you hate for shitty money

Mikey 02-02-2006, 02:30 PM When I said High School is a breeze, I meant US high school. I think every country's school system is different. It certainly is. When he lived in Lebanon, by great Uncle was the spokesperson for a company very similar to Procter & Gambel here in the states...and he didn't even finish High School.
UncleCliffy 02-02-2006, 03:30 PM Chances are your uncle knew someone that gave him that job. It wasn't because the Lebanese high schools were special.
Anthony 02-02-2006, 05:38 PM Who the fuck cares? Times were different.

b-diddy 02-02-2006, 08:45 PM i had ~3.1 in highschool. wasnt much of a student, but managed to skate by without doing much work cuz i am good at liberal arts stuff.
which worked out especially well for me because the AP liberal arts classes (english, history, civics, Latin) are plentiful and not more challenging than regular classes in their field.
anyway, i back doored my way into michigan, which was easily the biggest waiste of 4 years of my life. video games/drinking/partying took up like 80% of my time, and school was barely on the radar, and so was a job i worked like 5 hrs a week.
now i bust my ass in law school that costs way more than its worth, only to likely struggle big time to get a job.
life lesson i've learned especially in the last year: balance in life is important. theres no way you should be failing classes ever, but especially in highschool. go to class, pay attention. im not going to say do all your school work, but do what matters. get an afterschool job. dont just watch 8 hrs of tv a day.
SKelly 02-02-2006, 08:51 PM I have a little more than a 3.8 right now through 7 semesters. So that means instead of "turning it up" when I get to college, I'll booz out and get swatted out of State for poor grades.
