theMUHMEshow 01-30-2006, 10:35 AM I hate to pimp another site on here but this is a very interesting thread.

www.spurstalk.com is an amazing site. No WTF...but it is worth checking out for sure, especially if you are a die hard NBA fan like myself.
sorry but even a healthy SA team wont be nearly enough to beat the pistons. some of you need to quit with the ridiculous homerism and face facts. the spurs are playing listless this entire season. granted. 3 teams have had better records than the pistons at the 40 game mark and ended up losing more games in the 2nd half with a drop off (bulls were 37-3, then finished 35-7) i think its just the year for the pistons. duncan even healthy cant handle rasheed wallace alone anymore let alone both wallace brothers. bowen can put a lid on rip hamilton but chauncey is also playing out of his mind the same way manu was last season. parker's improvement is nice but detroit knows how to defend the lane which will make parker pretty much useless if he cant go for any lay ups. the only way we'll beat the pistons is if one of their starters gets injured. they are better than us in almost every statistical category
Someone send that guy a Christmas card.
Glenn 01-30-2006, 10:46 AM I wouldn't mind if we got a few of their posters over here once in a while.
I know some of our guys post there already.
WTFchris 01-30-2006, 10:46 AM I'm rooting against the Spurs until the playoffs. I want to make sure we get the best record, and then the Spurs can win all they want to. I'd like to see a rematch in the finals though.

Could've been me, viewing the topic whilst unregistered.
I've registered now and added my thoughts to that thread.
Vinny 01-30-2006, 01:12 PM I found it interesting that there are some Pistons fans over there with post counts in the hundreds.
geerussell 01-30-2006, 09:30 PM The spurs fans over there sound exactly like we did last year. Still basking in the glow of a trophy, 100% confident they'll get back to the finals to defend it and very, very nervous when they look over the fence at the opponent coming at them from the other conference.

I have never seen a forum with as much activity as that site does. The number of active users on that forum at any given instant is more than the amount of total users at other sites.
Cross 01-31-2006, 03:27 AM There's a fuckload of people in that forum
I'm a SpursReport.com guy myself.

Taymelo 01-31-2006, 11:24 AM Similarities between this forum and that one. RGM San Antonio is a complete ghost town. In fact, I'm pretty sure at least one of their mods isn't even a San Antonio fan, and probably got the mod spot because he wanted to mod and there wasn't room for him on their forum.
Anyway, I think something happened at RGM SA like the RGM DET exodus, where all their posters got pissed, and left for another site.
And for whoever compared their fans to us last year, I compare their team coming off a title this year to our team coming off a title last year - fat, lazy, and content after winning the championship. Perhaps its a good omen that the Pistons will take the title, and maybe SA will come back next year pissed that they let it slip away.
Pharaoh 01-31-2006, 11:37 AM Tay:
I don't know why RGM San Antonio is a ghost town but I do know that what happened with us also happened to the Raptor fans so it's possible.
I'm not gonna go visit any SA sites guys. It's just not my thing. I'd only be going there to brag and make fun of them and I'd rather stay away from that shit.
Feel free to do it for me though

RGM is 36th overall, tops in sports I think. Most of the top ones are video game oriented.
too bad you can't sort it by Genre (ie sports, or even basketball).
WTFchris 01-31-2006, 11:43 AM BTW, we are only 485,000 posts from being on that ranking list.

Give me until next Thursday.
UncleCliffy 01-31-2006, 11:52 AM RGM San Antonio was always dead. At least when I signed up in 2002. The Raptors forum is busy as hell. Maybe their was an exodus of 4 people but I never noticed a decline.
Pharaoh 01-31-2006, 11:53 AM If we put every single article into it's own thread
If we had a game thread for every game
If we started up trade idea threads (one for each Darko idea)
UncleCliffy 01-31-2006, 12:13 PM Speaking of forums. Pacersdigest has to be the worst board ever. The self-righteous attitude of the mods there is ridiculous. Not to mention the daily suspension threats.
Pharaoh 01-31-2006, 12:23 PM I think the Raptor thing happened before 2002 UC.
I joined RGM in 2000 and there was always problems on the Raptor board.
I was called in numerous times to answer questions about CBA shit and they always had a "State of the Board" thread going.
Cross 01-31-2006, 06:11 PM BTW, we are only 485,000 posts from being on that ranking list.

LOL

FUCK YOU
To any Spurs fans.
I hate their team. I hate their coach. I hate their style of play. I hate their fans. They are the anti-christ.

Their team and their playing style closely resemble ours.

i still don't agree with that. IMO we are by far different and more of a team. their offense is way more predictable and depends more so on undesigned plays like ginobli driving wildly to the hole or parker doing circles in the paint to get a shot.. only thing that is similiar IMO is the defense.

NOT EVEN CLOSE. Their team is full of sissy players who score by getting bail out call by the refs.
Our offense owns them this year, for sure.

I'm one of them. I signed up there during the Finals last year. Some really cool people over there. Of course, there's the occasional dickweed, but thats' going to be the case no matter where you go.
