Does anyone know how to get them to work i've downloaded several in the past few days and none of them work. In fact, now the standard XP theme doesn't even work. Can anyone help me?

You need a program to run those theme files. http://www.stylexp.com might help you out.

BTW, I would not recommend using custome made themes unless you have a super super super fast computer. They slow your computer way the fuck down. Its the price you pay for a cool looking desktop.

I didn't. I use an eMac as my desktop, and an iBook 12inch for my portable needs.

I downloaded style XP but I'm still getting an error message. I can't even get the default XP setup to run i just like a gray version of classic now. The error message just says something about dll trying to run dll as an app.

copy the whole error message, paste it in google, and google it.

it might be a microsoft.com answer for it or one on another site.

I tried googling it and I kept getting solutions for system restore errors and that's not a problem. This is really pissing me off.

Just choose the date before this problem started happening. That should fix it. If not, I dont know what else to tell you

See the thing is i had to clear all the system restore points because i had a mild virus and microsoft told me to do that. This started happening like 3 hours later and i clicked the only point prior to it happening and it said nothing had changed.

Are you getting an error message while trying to load an theme from Style XP? Also does it mention the exact dll file by any chance?

Please solve this problem so I can swat this uninteresting crap to the stands.
