I'm sick of that publicity whore. I hope he drowns in a hurricane.

Good music, big mouth. He thinks everyone and everything is out to get him and black people. I wish he'd shut the fuck up, cuz his music is dope.

you joking? that was such a big deal when he did that! Puffy bitched about it! When your content is being criticized by PUFF DADDY... you're creating a media fiasco for sure. However Nas' lyrics are spiritually ambiguous. One second he's talking muslim/five percenter, the next he's talking christian. The song he choose to crucify himself in the video had nothing spiritual about it what so ever. Kanye won't get nearly as much press for that, cuz he did that jesus walks and consistently portrays himself as a follower of christ.

lol@ being a big deal because puffy bitched about it. the asswhooping he put on the columbia A&R got more pub by far. so i dont know if you can say it was that big a deal.
but besides the pub issue. i totally agree about the difference in voiced religious perspective being to kanye's advantage vs nas.

the reason i said it's a big deal when puffy speaks up is because he's the CEO of bad boy. This dude has his name attached to some gangsta shit, 'ten crack commandments' and what not. To make a guy that put out that come out and say he's doesn't want to be associated with something your doing because it's spiritually and socially disruptive means that you started some real shit.

I wouldn't say it's an advantage for kanye though. In fact it's advantage for Nas. there's no such thing as bad press so if people are talking about him, then advantage to him. Kanye probably wishes that christians would complain of his portrayl of christ, then more people would buy his album to see what it's all about and he could further his hip hop savior ego trip.
