A polar opposite to everything else going on in Pennsylvania this week
the penguins continue their downward spiral into patheticism. Owner/Player/Captain/probably coach Mario Lemiuex is retiring.

some might have completely missed him coming back after one of his other multiple retire/unretire Michael Jordan impressions, but this time certainly it will be for good.

Heres to a quality career, already a hall of famer
its too bad you had to play out your career in that shithole after those 2 great Cup winning seasons

Sucks for the Pens, as Palffy and Mario are both to retire

Neither has done much this year.

Mario was always fun to watch, too bad it took them so long to implement these rules, he would be up there even closer to the Great One.

Haven't seen him at all this year, since I haven't seen a Pens game all year. I really liked him back in the early 90's though. He was a solid pro and a gentleman though. Much like another of my favorite pros from the 90's Jim Kelly (except that Mario won a couple titles).

I feel bad for Jim Kelly.....what does that guy think of at night when he remembers those years

lemieux had to fight through many things to get where he is today
but its time to see him go
