Seems like a big part of this forum is trade speculation which, to me, is an utter waste of time, since I like to live in reality.

But a lot of you cats like to wish trades back and forth, which is cool. Problem is it takes up the majority of space in the NBA forum. I've actually stopped coming up here for the most part because it seems to be a lot of talk about shit that's not really happening. I find myself opening threads only to find it's 3 pages of who we could get for this guy and whatnot.

So, do you think an "NBA Trade Speculation" sub-forum of this place would be a good idea, sort of like seperating fantasy from reality?

hmm....maybe a tag in the title instead of making a new subforum?

maybe a (rumor) or (trade speculation) or (trade idea) tag in the title? until the problem become rampant?

I think someday, when visitor traffic warrants it, we could split the NBA forum into subforums (one for News, one for Rumors, one for Trade Ideas, etc.) but as of right now, I don't have a problem with it all being in one forum, sorry to hear that you do, TK.

I think not.

The threads in the NBA forum go through various topics all at the same time IMO.

We start out discussing our bench and then it turns to trade ideas and then back to the individual players when someone has a great game.

We start out discussing Atkins and his buy out and it naturally turns into a "Homecoming?" kind of thing, which leads to discussion of Arroyo and then trade scenarios.

No way. We don't have the traffic to warrant it. I think you have a point. I too hate when people make up trades for the hell of it. Unless their are rumors associated with a certain player, you will never see me making up trades just for fun.
