Milicic vs Mutombo II ??
Actually I think this is going to be a let-down game for us and if we win it will go down to the wire...

Artermis 01-22-2006, 01:28 PM Is McGrady back playing and if so how many minutes?
If he plays over 35 they have real shot, under and they lose by double digits.
Art
McGrady played 40 minutes on Friday vs Chicago in a double overtime game scoing 35 points, 6 assists and 9 boards.
Artermis 01-22-2006, 02:04 PM Took double OT for him to get that many minutes. I doubt he plays more than 30-34, which i doubt is enough.

Anthony 01-22-2006, 02:15 PM Specally when he's Prince's bitch.
I'm interested to see Delfino on McGrady - see if he could handle him with any success defensively...

yeah, i'd like to see Delfino keep playing against top notched SF's to see how he handles them.
as long as we're taking requests, can we get at least 1 Mad Max dunk attempt over Mutombo?
please?
darkobetterthanmelo 01-22-2006, 02:42 PM Juwan Howard keeps this game close through middle of the second, the starters come in and blow this thing out of the water. Pistons win big, bench plays good in the second half, Darko trash talks Mutumbo in Serbian, Prince makes Tmac his bitch as usual.
MOLA1 01-22-2006, 04:10 PM Kill them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're going to lay an egg and lose this one in an ugly game.
ThePriestTouchedMe 01-22-2006, 06:37 PM Deke! Deke! Deke!
Come on.... Everybody, Pistons fans included, has to love Dikembe "Pride of the Congo" Mutombo.
UncleCliffy 01-22-2006, 07:10 PM I'm a Dikembe fan. I love his arrogance and finger waving.
Anthony 01-22-2006, 07:20 PM You get the feeling that the pistons are going to blow the door open at any time in the 3rd. Just another one of those games.
Somebody's gotta step up and stop McGrady - he's having his way with us.

easier said than done when he comes off several screens as opposed to one. he's not gonna drive much so maybe keep rip on him since Rip is handling the screens better than tayshan.
Black Dynamite 01-22-2006, 08:34 PM im kinda unpleased with the win. Rip choked at the line. that irked me. [smilie=arnold.gif]
good game. only caught the early portions and the last quarter. gutting out these close ones will make the latter half of the season much easier.
A win is a win. You can't smoke'em all the time. McGrady went off and we didn't have an answer. I kinda like that we played a tough game - just so the guys remember what it feels like if nothing else.
San Antonio loses, we win. I'll take it no matter how ugly it might be.
We have three tougher games coming up as we're in Minnesota on Tuesday, home to Milwaukee on Wednesday and host Memphis on Friday. I'll be more than happy with two out of three.
robcat911 01-22-2006, 08:43 PM we shoulda smokoed em,, but il jsust take the win.....delfino didnt do shit ...,but hes still my bowys

Next 8 games are against playoff teams, albeit none of them at the elite level. Basically 5 through 8 seeds.
As for tonight's game, it proves that if you have a player as good as Tracy McGrady, you have a chance to beat anyone.
@Minnesota
Milwaukee
Memphis
LALakers
@New Jersey
Minnesota
@Philly
@Indianapolis
That is a tough stretch of games. I'd be happy with 5-3 though that stretch.

Last time I ever make that prediction.
UncleCliffy 01-22-2006, 09:39 PM I'm using the old "one game at a time" cause I don't want to jinx the team.
Nice game tonight. Yeah it was close but we needed a close one after all of these blowouts to wake this team up. I feel bad for Minnesota on Tuesday night. Its going to get ugly.

11 I think. I think it's a pretty safe bet to say he'll be missing 1 or 2 games.

those are the same reasons he gets on my nerves.
dikembe off the court=one of the most charitable guys in sports and a respectable guy who stands up for what he believes in. honestly most athletes should be like him on that.
on the court=please retire and stfu.

I think most athletes think they are that. Every athletes press pack will say something like that anyway. The problem is that every athlete isn't educated enough to know where to stand up and speak their mind, so they end up ranting about stupid stuff.

Take the average person, stroke their ego to full erection then put a microphone in their face and I doubt they'd come across any better than most athletes.
How about McGrady giving it up to an open Luther Head and then giving him love even though he missed it. Kobe woulda choked a bitch.

Naaa, Kobe would have just scored 65 and we would have lost long ago.
Give me a guy like Kobe who's pissed after a loss over Mcgrady who was laughing after the game. Sure it was nice that he was consoling Head but c'mon anyone who would seriously take Mcgrady over Kobe just has some kind of vendetta against Kobe.
I just don't get it. Chauncey has taken every game winning attempt this year but he's not selfish yet Kobe gets pissed because Odom misses a game winning shot (off balance 3 at that) and people find yet another reason to dog him. Kobe should have had the ball and they probably win the game if he gets it than.

Nah. Luther Head isn't a young white chick that's into anal.
MOLA1 01-23-2006, 01:57 AM Fuck the Rockets. NEXT!!!

the difference is Kobe takes every shot all game before that shot as well.

whatever they think, none of them have tried to do more charitable work on an international level IMO. but thats more because he was born or raised in america and grew up in nigeria where poverty has a whole other meaning. either way we won the game and its time to get ready for the next.

agreed. and last i checked everyone has hit and attempted important clutch shots for us. even ben once in a blue moon. shit sheed takes as many as chauncy. the idea that only chauncy takes em isnt true at all. and if he didnt get the shot, he wouldnt frown up and be ready to hog the game away in response to not getting the ball 2 times.
